A groundbreaking sex robot factory resembling a scene from sci-fi hit Westworld has been laid bare in a new video tour.

RealDoll gave the tour via video link at a Raspberry Dream Labs event in London, attended by Daily Star Online.

Production manager Mike Wilson begins by talking to attendees from the US-based office’s reception desk, decorated with framed pictures of doll models.

He then shows viewers the company’s “most popular” dolls, including one named Violet to give visitors a taste of what to expect upon arrival.

After proudly pointing to framed media articles of the company, he then walks into the lab.

It poses an eery resemblance to Westworld, the fictional HBO show depicting human interacting with humanoid robots.

Mr Wilson points towards a wide range of body frames, telling us customers can pick from up to 30 different body types.

Headless silicone bodies dangle from the ceiling as he details how punters can also choose from 30 different “nipple options”.

Standalone heads, penises and breasts are all scattered around in the following room, as one employee is pictured in the background busy at work.

He also tells us the company has recruited Hollywood producers to help in their quest for human-like models .

RealDoll founder, Matt McMullen, previously told Daily Star Online he believes his robots could only be five years away from looking identical to humans.

He also said their complexity would begin to approach the “mammal category” .

Mr McMullen told us: “I would say probably within five to 10 years the appearance of a robot is going to drastically improve.

“AI may start to approach something in the mammal category but I don’t see, necessarily, human-like intelligence and as such I don’t think we can even consider the idea of human like self-awareness.

“That is really the big can of worms that people worry about with AI.

“So that’s a little bit further out but I do think the engineering side and the artistic side will come a long way in the next 10 years.

Rival company Silicone Lovers is also making futuristic dolls

“I think in some ways that (robots looking identical to humans) is not that far off, and in other ways it seems so far off that I can’t predict.

“I think AI in particular has a huge amount of work that remains, even the smartest AI on the planet is probably about as bright as an earthworm.

Sex dolls are becoming increasingly human-like

“Something like a self-driving car may seem fantastical but it’s really not intelligence it’s just math.

“So real AI, the kind that everyone seems really concerned with when they ask about robots, that’s really far off.

“The physical nature of the robots, in terms of engineering and the underlying structures and machinery that make it move and the skin technology and the appearance of it, that part of it to me seems more tangible than the control.”
