All,

I have exciting news to share with you about the ABC News
Live editorial leadership team. Katie den Daas and Seni Tienabeso have both
been named Executive Producers and Senior Producer Cat McKenzie will take on an
expanded role.

As Managing Editor for the past year and a half, Katie has
been absolutely instrumental to ABC News Live’s growth as a channel and as a
team. In her new role she will work closely with me to build out the overall
direction of the platform and work on strategies to increase audience
engagement. Katie will also help coordinate special events and breaking news.

Katie has been a fixture here at ABC News since 2015, having
lent her Emmy award-winning talents to Newsgathering, GMA, World News Tonight,
Special Events and The View. She began her career in local news – first in
Oklahoma City where she produced coverage of the 15 year anniversary of the
Murrah Bombing, the NBA’s arrival in Oklahoma City and countless severe weather
events, followed by Dallas-Fort Worth where she helped lead the 5 p.m. and 10
p.m. newscasts move from last place to 1st place.

Seni was most recently a Senior Producer for “World News
Tonight with David Muir,” often overseeing the program’s foreign and social
justice stories and anchor producing the show when it would go on the road. His
vast experience in field producing will be immensely valuable as we deliver
more live reports from our journalists and correspondents around the world. As
Executive Producer he will bring his deep understanding of an evening news
audience and focus on building out our primetime programming block, leading the
teams that will be developing live shows between 7 p.m. and Midnight, in
addition to taped programming.

Seni started at ABC News more than a decade ago with NewsOne
where he covered major events including the Haiti Earthquake and Chilean miner
rescue. He later spent six years based in Miami where he specialized in
breaking news, producing from six continents and 45 states on stories including
the 2016 Presidential election, Baltimore & Ferguson riots, the 2014
Israeli/Gaza war and the Boston Marathon attack. Seni has FAA drone pilot
certification, has reported from at least one hurricane or tropical storm on
average for each year he has been with ABC News and has earned numerous
journalism awards on topics ranging from Hurricane Michael to his investigative
work on the death of Trayvon Martin.

In her expanded role, Cat will ensure ABC News Live is in
the best position to respond to breaking news, cover special events and deliver
continuous live, anchored headline updates throughout the day.

Cat has been a steady presence in leading the live team
through change and developing our diverse team of talent since 2015. She’s been
at the forefront of producing our live coverage including the Oscars, 2016
conventions, 2018 midterms and most recently, took the lead in our impeachment
hearings coverage. Her presence on the leadership team will be critical as we
push ABC News Live into the next phase.

With the added distribution on Xumo last week, further
cementing ABC News Live as America’s #1 streaming news channel, we are on an
incredible wave heading into 2020. Katie, Seni and Cat are world-class
storytellers with impeccable instincts and I’m excited to have them by my side.
We’re moving quickly to ramp up our programming with a very busy year in news
ahead. To deliver on our promise of straightforward 24/7streaming news, it
requires us to grow our team of stellar talent across all levels. We are
posting jobs for dozens of new positions – if interested please keep an eye on
the Disney career site to apply for those roles: www.disneycareers.com,
please filter on ABC News to find those opportunities.

Please join me in congratulating Katie, Seni and Cat!

Justin
