COPS: Man feigning Down syndrome got caregivers to bathe him, change diaper…

SEPTEMBER 13–An Arizona man feigning to suffer from Down syndrome tricked a series of female caregivers into bathing him and changing his diaper, according to investigators who have filed felony sex abuse and fraud charges against the creepy scamster.

As alleged in court documents, the scheme by Paul Menchaca, 30, began in May when he advertised on CareLinx, a “nationwide professional caregiver marketplace” that connects clients with home care workers.

In response to the ad, a caregiver corresponded solely via text with a woman named “Amy,” who claimed to be Menchaca’s mother. “Amy” told the caregiver that her son had Down syndrome and “required diaper changes and assistance with bathing,” according to a court filing

Police allege that “Amy,” who arranged for payments and provided care instructions, was actually Menchaca himself.

The first caregiver told police that she bathed Menchaca and changed his diaper on about 30 occasions. The woman told police that Menchaca occasionally complained “aggressively” that his genitals “were not cleaned enough,” which prompted her to wipe them “more thoroughly.” The caregiver added that Menchaca “had an erection every time his diaper was changed and when he was bathed.”

The other two caregivers told cops that they were hired by “Amy” to bathe and diaper her son (who, they reported, was aroused each time his diaper was changed).

None of the victims ever met “Amy,” and each woman received their payments in cash from Menchaca.

A probable cause affidavit filed in Superior Court noted that “Amy” asked the caregivers to “punish” her son “when he soiled his diaper by putting him in timeout and taking away his privileges.”

Menchaca’s ruse was recently exposed by one of the caregivers, who had grown suspicious of her client (whom she cared for at what police termed “neutral locations,” not Menchaca’s residence). The caregiver followed Menchaca home one day and encountered his parents, who said their son “did not have Down syndrome and did not require diaper changes.”

Seen above, Menchaca “admitted to lying to them about his mental condition” when he was subsequently confronted by the three victims.

During a search of Menchaca’s home in Gilbert, a Phoenix suburb, police recovered his “cell phone and diapers amongst other electronic devices.”

Menchaca was named Tuesday in a four-count felony complaint. He was freed from custody after posting $15,000 bond and has been ordered to have no contact with the three caregivers. (4 pages)

Party Vowing to Curb Immigration Favored to Win Quebec Election…

The minimum wage, which climbed 6.7 percent to C$12 as of May 1, would be set for an even bigger jump if either of the separatist parties win power. The PQ and Quebec Solidaire would raise it to C$15 an hour, matching the level in neighboring Ontario — though a PQ-led increase wouldn’t take effect until 2022, three years later than with Quebec Solidaire. Spokespeople for the CAQ and the Liberals have cautioned against such a rapid increase, saying it could hamper job creation.

Media Matters vs. Blacks

Having dispatched Alex Jones from most every public platform on the face of the earth, the left is looking to engage more targets.. With an insatiable appetite to remove conservative thought from the public square, they have found a new whipping boy to thrash. His name is Jesse Lee Peterson, and his face is being plastered on liberal “Most Wanted” posters for his “white supremacist content.”

In an odd twist, it turns out that Mr. Peterson is a black man whose family worked on a plantation in Alabama. His personal history is replete with being born in the Jim Crow south and overcoming many obstacles. He is someone who intimately understands racism.  But pay no attention, because Media Matters has labeled Peterson “a far-right radio host and media personality.” And his crime appears to be that he’s successful.

Here, the far-left Soros-funded organization seems to have lurched uncontrollably into the truth. Peterson’s YouTube channel boasts 142,842 subscribers at the time of this writing, close to 20K people follow his Facebook page and another 41K on Twitter. And perhaps most damning of all — Peterson is a black man who dares to be conservative. For shame.

This popularity has placed the leftist bull’s eye squarely on Peterson’s back. According to Media Matters, “Peterson’s YouTube content contains a torrent of anti-Black, anti-gay, and misogynistic hate.” For sure, Peterson is a boisterous and strident opponent of what he calls “the Democratic plantation” which is “really worse than the plantation I grew up on,” as is evident from this quote to Yahoo News:

“My grandparents worked hard and their parents worked hard. We were very independent. Unlike the Democratic Party — their plantation causes you to become dependent on them and not on yourself. Once you become addicted to that, they will not let you off. If you try to get off, you are attacked. You’re called Uncle Tom, a sellout, the N-word, all kind of craziness because they do not want you to leave that plantation.”

Worse still, Peterson is a Christian and preaches the gospel of independence, self-reliance, and forgiveness. Despite Media Matters calling him the r-word and a white supremacist, Peterson refuses to back down. In an article titled “Hypocrisy of the Left: Media Matters Hates Black People,” he shot back:

“So they attack me as a black man with a rising profile on Newsmax TV and YouTube. They can’t allow one man to go free, think for myself, love America and white people — because I might awaken others, as I am doing. Media Matters hates anyone, black or white, who is independent and unafraid to speak the truth – because they are children of the lie. Their father is Satan.”

For these heretical thoughts and comments, Media Matters posits that Mr. Peterson must be banned. He and other like-minded individuals “have violated YouTube’s terms of service” and their policy against, “content that ‘promotes violence against or has the primary purpose of inciting hatred against protected classes’ — including LGBTQ individuals, Jewish people, African-Americans, and other racial minorities.”

Indeed, the full court press is on to ban Peterson from speaking out against what he sees as the hypocrisy of the left, “I realized I had been lied to [by the Democrats], that it wasn’t about racism, that white people were not holding me back and the Democrats didn’t care about me, they were lying to me.”

To be sure, Jesse Lee Peterson is an unrepentant apostate of the leftist political theology that says if you are black you must be a Democrat. You must think, talk, and believe that above all, you are a victim. And this victimhood is what keeps you in bondage.

In an article titled the “Left Craves Perpetual Victimhood,” author Jeff Charles explains:

“When folks don the identity of the victim, they go through life seeing the worst in every circumstance. They adopt a mindset that tells them they cannot do anything to change their station in life because a particular set of circumstances — either real or imagined — prevents them from fulfilling their desires.”

Charles goes on to elucidate that victimhood is an increasingly pernicious mentality used to manipulate groups of Americans to support the Democratic party. Alas, Charles too carries the stain of being a black conservative. Perhaps he will be next up on the Media Matters hit list.

Could it be that what Media Matters really worries about is that too many of their folk are leaving the so-called Democratic Plantation? Best to shut these people up — yes, put down the rebellion — before it drowns out the victims and leftists who have held sway in the public square for lo these many years. Indeed, this larger agenda just may be the reason why organizations like Media Matters have taken aim at people like Jesse Lee Peterson.

Media Matters and their ilk may feel a pressing need to put a stop to this uprising lest things get out of control. Control of the masses and the individual — from your Super Big Gulp to your right to free speech — is, after all, the stock and trade of the left. Unwittingly the internet and its variety of platforms — from Facebook to YouTube — has been undermining this leftist need, which is why they are desperate to establish their hegemony over it.

So, black or white, young or old, if you say something those on the left don’t like, you are in their line of fire. Forget banning and burning the books, just remove these folks from the public square. In the words of American feminist Andrea Dworkin, “The genius of any slave system is found in the dynamics which isolate slaves from each other, obscure the reality of common condition, and make united rebellion against the oppressor inconceivable.” Or put more simply: divide and conquer. Yes, single these people out one by one, put them in the cross-hairs of your leftist .20 gauge, and pick off their offensive voices one at a time because at all costs — they must be silenced.

The 10 Greatest Americans of My 8 Decades

10. Jonas Salk – Inventor of the polio vaccine that knocked out one of the most feared diseases of all time.  He’s just one of thousands of American medical scientists who have made great strides in curing bad diseases.

9. Neil Armstrong – First man to land on the Moon.  A modest man who sought no glory or riches for himself, he was a fearless pilot.  His adept handling of the Moon lander saved the mission.  He represents the entire U.S. space program, staffed by thousands of bright, dedicated people.

8. Jackie Robinson – Broke the color barrier in Major League Baseball in 1947 and to a greater degree played an indirect role in triggering the all-important civil rights movement, where a dominant racial majority ultimately reached down to bring an oppressed minority into parity of opportunity.

7. Lawrence Roberts – A major player in development of the internet.  He and his team at the Advanced Research Project Agency created ARPANET, the forerunner of the internet, using packet-switching techniques to allow multiple computers to communicate on a single network.  Others followed with development of the Internet Protocol and the World Wide Web, but it’s Roberts who got it started.

6. David Horowitz – Founder of the David Horowitz Freedom Center, this former Marxist intellectual and son of Communist Party members had an epiphany when Huey Newton’s Black Panthers murdered a woman who worked for them.  He has since become an important and crystal-clear voice for academic freedom and for creating an unassailable watch on radical Islam as well as left-wing violence and efforts to destroy the American political system.

5. Steve Jobs – Founder of Apple and the Macintosh line of computers that were the first to make computers user-friendly for ordinary people through the use of the GUI interface.  Jobs went on to invent the iPad and the iPhone, the world’s first smartphone, which has become an everyday device for hundreds of millions of people around the world.

4. Franklin Delano Roosevelt – America’s 32nd president, a crippled polio victim who guided America out of the Depression and through most of World War II.  His programs to help people who were starving and unemployed have been criticized for paving the way for big government in Washington.  But his leadership in times of crisis was nothing short of heroic.

3. Harry Truman – America’s 33rd president and in some ways my favorite.  Truman made the difficult but correct call to drop the atomic bombs on Japan to end World War II, thus saving hundreds of thousands of American and Japanese lives that would have been lost if the war had continued.  When his term ended, he and his wife Bess got in their old car and drove home to Missouri by themselves – no ride on the fancy Boeing 747 Air Force One, no Secret Service detail.  Unimaginable in today’s America.

2. Ronald Reagan – America’s 40th president and a true believer in American greatness.  He’s the man who crushed the communist Soviet Union without firing a shot.  Never to be forgotten is his speech at the Berlin Wall when he challenged the Soviet leader with the comment, “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall.”  A former Hollywood actor and governor of California, his “supply side” economic policies created new prosperity for the American people with reductions in inflation and annual GDP growth of 3.4%.

1. Donald J. Trump – America’s 45th president.  Liberal heads will explode on this one.  But after eight disastrous years of Obama, with American greatness slipping away to racial division, leading from behind, and a decaying American economy, Trump stepped up to “make America great again.”  His record of accomplishment is already unprecedented for an American president.

This boisterous and sometimes vulgar billionaire gave up a life of relative ease to become a target of unprecedented hatred and vilification in order to save his country.  I regard him as a true patriot.

Other great Americans who have made a positive difference and were all serious candidates for the Top Ten slots (presented in alphabetical order):

Louis Armstrong – Old Satchmo, whose gravelly voice is still instantly recognized, was one of the first truly popular and much beloved black American entertainers whose skin color became secondary to his music when parts of America were still segregated.  His artistry and personality gave him access to the upper echelons of high society, then highly restricted for black men.

Chuck Berry – A rock-and-roll pioneer whose songs are embedded in the soul of people of my generation.

Jeff Bezos – College dropout who started selling books online transformed retail shopping from bricks and mortar to the internet, creating Amazon, the world’s largest shopping service and the most valuable company in the world.

Tom Brady – Four Super Bowl MVP awards, the most ever by a single player.  Three league MVP awards.  Selected to 13 Pro Bowls.  Has led his team to more division titles (15) than any other quarterback in NFL history.  He’s still playing as a Patriot.

Warren Buffett – America’s favorite billionaire and widely recognized as one of the most successful investors of all time.  Shareholders in Berkshire Hathaway have given the company virtual cult status as they turn up in Omaha each year for the annual meeting to hear words of wisdom from the “Oracle.”

Walt Disney – A cheeky mouse named Mickey and a catchy song of hope, “When You Wish upon a Star,” helped propel Disney into a household name with movies, TV shows, merchandise, and eleven theme parks around the world, with the twelfth set to open shortly.

Matt Drudge – Founder and editor of DrudgeReport.com.  As the leading internet aggregator of news, he has played a pivotal role in providing a reasonably balanced view of the world with a slight tilt to the right.  Drudge is the major escape valve from censorship for conservative news and viewpoints by social media and the increasingly left-leaning mainstream media.  Claims 10.5 billion visits to his site in just the past year.

Clint Eastwood – Academy Award-winning actor and director.  As Dirty Harry Callahan, he challenged the P.C. culture in San Francisco well before most Americans realized what political correctness meant.

Dwight Eisenhower – The 34th president of the United States.  Makes the list not as a great president, but as the general who led the allied coalition to victory over Nazi Germany in World War II and made the risky D-Day decision to go during a period of bad weather in June 1944.

Bill Gates – Founder of Microsoft, the world’s largest P.C. company.  Computers running Microsoft software are found in every corner of the globe.

Michael Jordan – Professional basketball player and businessman who made the NBA great.  He stayed above politics and always stood for the National Anthem.  All athletes should “be like Mike.”

Martin Luther King, Jr. – The unquestioned leader of the American civil rights movement, who proclaimed that he wanted Americans not to be “judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.”  More relevant today than ever.

Henry Kissinger – The man who took President Richard Nixon to China to meet Mao Zedong.  Certainly the greatest and most accomplished diplomat of my lifetime.

George Lucas – Film producer and creator of the amazing Star Wars movie and merchandising franchise that changed the sci-fi genre forever.  May the force be with him.

Lloyd Marcus – A self-described “lone wolf rare black voice spreading the truth about American greatness” as an “un-hyphenated American.”  All Americans should think of themselves as un-hyphenated.

Marilyn Monroe – Singer and actress, she was America’s most beloved iconic sex symbol.  Who can ever forget as she crooned to JFK, “Happy birthday, Mr. President”?

Sandra Day O’Connor – Appointed by Ronald Reagan as America’s first female Supreme Court justice.  A swing vote on the court, she voted with the conservative bloc 82 times and with the more liberal bloc 28 times.

Georgia O’Keefe – An American artist known as the “Mother of American Modernism.”  Worked in Chicago and New York before settling in New Mexico where her full genius flourished.  Her 1932 painting “Jimson Weed” sold for $44,405,000 in 2014, more than three times the previous world auction record for any female artist.

Robert O’Neill – Navy SEAL who fired the headshots that killed Osama bin Laden during the raid on his Abbottabad compound in May 2011.  O’Neill was involved in more than 400 missions, including the mission to save Captain Richard Phillips during the Maersk Alabama hijacking, and Operation Red Wings, in which O’Neill helped save Marcus Luttrell.

Larry Page and Sergey Brin – Two Ph.D. students from Stanford created an online search engine improbably named Google that became an almost a daily part of the lives of anyone looking for information online.  Has become a global mega-company that also provides free email services for millions.  Sadly, the Google search engine has fallen into the hands of left-wing operators pushing conservative content back from the top pages.  But there is no denying the genius of what they’ve built.

Rosa Parks – Deemed by Congress as “the first lady of civil rights” and “mother of the freedom movement,” she stepped into history by taking a seat on a bus in a “white only” section and refused to budge.  A true American hero!

Kris Paronto – Former U.S. Ranger and CIA contractor fought off Islamic attackers at the American outpost in Benghazi after secretary of state Hillary Clinton failed to provide adequate security to U.S. Government personnel.  The attack resulted in four dead Americans.  Former President Obama later referred to the incident as the “Benghazi conspiracy.”  Paronto typifies the American fighting man willing and able to put his life on the line for his country.

Elvis  Presley – AKA The King, the quintessential American singer.  One of the most celebrated and influential musicians of the 20th century.  Forty-one years after his death, he still commands a large and loyal following.  His Memphis home Graceland has recorded over 20 million visitors since it opened to the public in 1982.

Frank Sinatra – Famously asked by Johnny Carson, “Who do you listen to when you make love?”  Old Blue Eyes, also known as the Chairman of the Board, was one of the most beloved singers, movie actors, and entertainers of the 20th century.  Even today, his timeless big band ballads and love songs remain enormously popular.  Still has his own channel on Sirius Radio.

Fred Smith – Leveraged a college term paper and a “bet the farm” trip to Las Vegas to create FedEx (“when it absolutely, positively has to be there the next day”), thereby revolutionizing document and package delivery.  Created an entire new level of efficiency for international business while becoming the largest express transportation service in the world.

Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller –The Paul Reveres of my lifetime, warning us constantly of the impending threat to Western civilization from Islam.  More people need to be listening.  A lot more!

Steven Spielberg – The greatest movie producer of all time.  His list of 66 movies says it all.  My favorites include the Star Wars movies; E.T.; the Indiana Jones series, beginning with Raiders of the Lost Ark; Schindler’s List; Jurassic Park; Saving Private Ryan; Bridge of Spies; and Empire of the Sun.

James D. Watson – American molecular biologist and zoologist, one of the co-discoverers of the structure of DNA that now plays a critical role in health care as well as crime detection.

Frank Lloyd Wright – America’s genius architect, known for innovative concepts that became memorable structures.  His works include the Guggenheim Museum in New York and the Falling Water House in Mill Run, Pa.

Mark Zuckerberg – Through Facebook, he has created previously unimaginable communications among friends, enemies, generations, and cultures while giving freedom of speech to the whole world.  Let’s hope he doesn’t destroy his own legacy by continuing to censor conservatives.

Frank Hawkins is a former U.S. Army intelligence officer, Associated Press foreign correspondent, international businessman, senior newspaper company executive, founder and owner of several marketing companies, and published novelist.  He currently lives in retirement in North Carolina.

Recently, New York’s Governor Cuomo brashly asserted that America “was never that great.”  Apparently, because the country is not 100% perfect, according to his socialist utopian political tastes, he thought it would be a good opportunity while running against an even more leftist candidate to trash the country that has been so good to him and his family.  In fact, if he only took a moment to think about the people who have made America great, those who made it possible for his entire family to thrive on producing nothing other than hot air, Cuomo might just change his mind.

So for Mr. Cuomo, here is a list of those I consider the ten greatest Americans of my lifetime as I nudge closer to my 80th birthday.  A list like this is quite subjective.  I selected those whose significant impact on American greatness cannot be denied.  It was extremely difficult to boil it down to ten.  So I have included thirty others – any one of whom could have justifiably been in the Top 10.  How can any objective person review this list and not conclude that Cuomo is dead wrong and that America is the greatest country in the world?

10. Jonas Salk – Inventor of the polio vaccine that knocked out one of the most feared diseases of all time.  He’s just one of thousands of American medical scientists who have made great strides in curing bad diseases.

Toxic Feminism

The damage that radical feminism has done to our education system is incalculable.  Yet the movement continues to grow exponentially, and gender studies faculties, which promote female empowerment at the expense of what is called “toxic masculinity,” continue to multiply.

Feminism has patently skewed the syllabus in the direction of gender asymmetry.  In the name of diversity, equity, and inclusion, women have progressively come to dominate campus life regardless of aptitude and competency.  Hiring protocols are female-friendly, as are faculty postings and grant opportunities.  Qualified male candidates need to make alternative arrangements.  (As Heather Mac Donald of the Manhattan Institute muses, in the prevailing climate, Einstein might have trouble getting hired for a professorship.)  Male students, already in declining numbers, are under threat of allegations of sexual assault or harassment, ad hoc tribunals, and arbitrary expulsion.  McGill University anthropology professor emeritus Philip Carl Salzman warns parents in a comprehensive essay for Minding the Campus, “Your sons will learn they should ‘step aside’ to give more space and power to females.”

Unfortunately, too many careers have been built on gender studies and feminist theory to allow surrender.  Leftist government bureaucrats, university administrators, “diversity and inclusion” officers, and faculty across the entire academic landscape are dependent on preserving perhaps the greatest scam in the systemic apparatus we call education.  Investing in a false theory or inequitable practice never prevented its adherents, whose reputations and livelihoods are at stake, from surrendering their perquisites.  Rather, educrats and their cohorts will double down and increase their efforts to further their agenda.  They will persist in finding ways to evade the most far-sighted and ethically determined efforts to redress the parietal imbalance by refusing to implement new directives from enlightened government agencies.

One way is to pursue legal action against elected administrations bent on reform, as in the U.S., where women’s groups are suing secretary of education Betsy DeVos for rescinding Obama’s guidelines on how to manage Title IX investigations regarding (male) sexual assault.  These organizations are intent on defending a regime predicated on unsubstantiated allegations rather than due process.  Similarly, in the Canadian province of Ontario, the left-feminist teacher union is suing the recently installed Conservative government for attempting to repeal the current sex ed curriculum.  That this curriculum introduces very young students to sexual practices for which they are emotionally unprepared is of no account to these insurrectionary preceptors.  Rather, the perpetuation of what is nothing more than a pedagogical sinkhole is their purpose, as is the case with Title IX proponents.

Another way to stymie the remedial enterprise is to stack the deck with ever more fellow-traveling faculty personnel, thus relying on critical mass to fortify a doctrinaire position.  Professor Art Hill, chair of the Department of Food Science at the University of Guelph, points out: “One thing that concerns me is hiring policies.  Our provost at the University of Guelph hosted a session on Academic Freedom … mostly strategizing on how to limit expression of ‘undesirable’ views without making martyrs.  There was little evidence of sincere respect for differing ideologies.  His last slide advised that Universities can limit expression of unacceptable views via selective faculty recruitment … especially in the social sciences and humanities.” Recruitment proceeds “according to ideology.”  (Personal communication.)

Not content with having ruined the humanities beyond repair, the radical sorority and its male apostles are insinuating their campaign into the STEM disciplines, now being steadily infected by the gender cathexis.  There is no doubt that the study and practice of science as we know it will be drastically weakened.  Tony Airaksinen at PJ Media cites a recent instance of this monetized ideological swindle, which is in fact representative: “The University of Tennessee-Knoxville will spend more than $700,000 in federal funds over the next four years to get more women into STEM, despite their proposed intervention having zero record of success.”  Some of the bogus issues being addressed involve, as to be expected, the so-called “culture of implicit bias,” which simply does not exist – except insofar as it privileges women – and that strange eidolon known as women’s “emotional labor.”  One does not know whether to blush or laugh.

Airakinsen pulled her punches when she should have gone for KO.  “Perhaps this program might be helpful for women in STEM, and ultimately, scientific discovery at large,” she suggests, perhaps ironically, though “considering that the NSF has poured millions of taxpayer funds into similar projects and hasn’t been able to document any results, it seems unlikely.”  It is not merely unlikely, but entirely implausible.  Just ask Sir Tim Hunt, Larry Summers, and Matt Taylor.  Science is a discipline with intrinsic standards of replication and objectivity that cannot be adulterated by peripheral concerns entailing social projects, cultural preoccupations, or the fashions of the day while remaining science.

“Emotional labor” has nothing to do with science.  Gender has nothing to do with science.  Stringent analysis, top-tier math, controlled experiment, endless testing, and honest commitment to the task of advancing human knowledge and exploring the universe are what science is about.  If a man can do it, good.  If a woman can do it, good.  If an immigrant from Mars of indeterminate sex can do it, also good.  But if hiring and staffing depend on extraneous factors, mediocrity is the inevitable consequence.  Standards must apply across the board.

The same is true, if in various ways, of any profession.  Canvass the best candidates, the most capable, the most dedicated to the field, and the most willing to work punishing hours.  These are, or should be, the invariable criteria of selection and preferment.  Such is undeniably the case – or should be – when it comes to the schools and colleges.  Wise administrators, learned and effective teachers, and real subjects are – or should be – the essentials that underpin true education.

Feminist dogma is not one of these essentials.  Departments of Gender Studies – as well as the myriad other faux “identity studies” programs like queer studies, race theory, critical theory, fat studies, sexuality studies, whiteness studies, ad vomitatum – do not constitute real subjects; they are centers of radical indoctrination or specimens of academic frivolity.  Bruce Bawer’s definitive examination of our vaudeville education network, The Victims’ Revolution, is an adversarial classic and should be consulted by skeptics.  Grouped under the rubric of “social justice,” identity studies programs largely explain why our universities are well on the way to becoming third-world institutions.  Feminism is the mother of the “social justice” obsession that is devastating the culture and destroying education.

As I have argued before, the academy cannot be reformed, despite a decent government’s best intentions.  It must be abolished or gradually phased out and replaced by schools and universities and online delivery programs founded on the traditional mandate of moral accountability, exacting scholarship, discipline-specific authority, open debate, and responsible instruction.  A redoubtable task, no doubt, but one that is absolutely necessary.  Feminism must have no part in it.  With its reliance on false assumptions, phony statistics, affective resentment, and glib verbosity, feminism is the most potent carcinogen attacking both the body social and the health of the education system.  It is toxic.  It is talk-sick.  It needs to go.

The Media's Latest Poll Dance

With the midterms less than two months away and the economy firing on all cylinders, the Democrats, and their handlers, also known as the American media, are entering the panic zone.  The midterms are the last chance for the left to stop the Trump train.

Robert Mueller’s investigation is shooting blanks.  Mueller’s Deep State cronies in the FBI and DOJ may be facing legal troubles of their own.  Trump’s popularity remains solid despite Hurricane Florence-strength media attacks against him each and every day.

CNN and MSNBC are currently at Category 4 hurricane strength against President Trump.  Expect to see this ratchet up to Category 5 in the upcoming weeks before the midterms.  Ninety percent of Trump’s media coverage is negative.  This will increase to approach 100 percent if Mueller can’t find or fabricate the smoking gun that will send The Donald slinking back to Trump Tower.

Since Stormy Daniels’s pole dances haven’t damaged President Trump, big media are using their own “poll dance,” specifically opinion polls, to create the narrative that no one likes the president.  They hope to dispirit Trump voters, damping the enthusiasm of November 2016, to pick off enough House seats to shift House control to Nancy Pelosi and Maxine Waters.

At the least, these polls can further the media fable that everyone is embarrassed by Trump and won’t support him, causing some of his supporters to abandon the president so their friends and families stop calling them racist, sexist Nazis.

The latest poll is a Quinnipiac University poll.  CNN’s Brian Stelter wasted no time in gleefully tweeting out the results.

In choreographed synchrony, worthy of Olympic synchronized swimming, MSNBC, dance partner of CNN, had its own tweet.

That’s it, then.  As prosecutor, judge, and jury, big media proclaimed Trump’s presidency over.  In other words, America is ready to Dump Trump.

Is that wishful thinking from the likes of Stelter and Scarborough?  What if we look at the actual Quinnipiac poll that has them so excited?

One of the results is this: “American voters disapprove 54 – 38 percent of the job President Trump is doing.”  Doom and gloom for Team Trump.

They do acknowledge that “Trump’s base remains loyal.”  But they can’t help themselves taking a stereotypical and bigoted view of his supporters.  “The only listed groups approving of the president are Republicans, 84 – 7 percent and white voters with no college degree, 51 – 40 percent.”

Of course, Trump-supporters are dumb whites, rednecks with only two teeth playing a banjo on a porch swing in rural Georgia.  Not the latte-drinking liberal elites in Manhattan or the cosmopolitan conservatives sipping chardonnay in Georgetown.

Their kicker question was, “Do you think Donald Trump is fit to serve as president, or not?”  On Sept. 10, 2018, Quinnipiac found its answer – 41 percent yes, 55 percent no.  That’s it, then.  Hillary should move into the White House next week, and Trump should be sent to the insane asylum.

One question they asked, which won’t receive much attention for fear of upsetting many of the CNN and MSNBC news panelists, is this: “Do you think that President Trump is mentally stable, or not?”  Lo and behold, even in this biased survey, 48 percent answered yes, he is mentally stable, 42 percent no.  Obviously, they didn’t conduct this poll in Hollywood where almost everyone believes that Trump is insane.

Several layers beyond the tweets and headlines are the guts of the poll, the sample and methodology.  Here they are.

This survey oversampled Democrats by 9 points.  And how many of those 33 percent independents are truly independent?  The average Trump-supporter who gets a telephone call survey will either hang up or else give the pollster the answer he is looking for rather than be castigated as a Trump voter.

In addition, Quinnipiac surveyed registered, rather than likely, voters.  Likely voters are only a small fraction of registered voters, many of whom won’t turn out to vote, especially in midterm elections.

Between the sample and the weighting, it is no surprise that the poll results tilt heavily in favor of Democrat talking points.

Alternatively, look at Rasmussen, the most accurate pollster for the 2016 presidential election.  In its Daily Presidential Tracking Poll, it surveys likely voters, not simply registered voters.  On Sept. 10, 2018, the same day as the Quinnipiac poll, President Trump was at 48 percent total approval, 51 percent total disapproval, similar to where he has been for most of this year.

What Brian Stelter and Morning Joe won’t tell you is what their idol Barack Obama’s poll numbers were in the same Rasmussen poll at the exact same point in his presidency.  But I will.

On Sept. 10, 2010, “the one we have all been waiting for” was at 42 percent total approval, 56 percent disapproval, 6 points lower than the Neanderthal Trump who Quinnipiac says is unfit to serve as president.

How inconvenient, but also how instructive.  Are these polls designed to reflect popular opinion or shape it?

Do the media want to objectively report President Trump’s popularity?  Or do they have a narrative they wish to promote, using a deliberately flawed poll, sample, and methodology?

That would be like conducting a Trump popularity poll in Ithaca, Berkeley, or Boulder, then attempting to extrapolate the results to the rest of the United States.

Expect to see more of these phony polls leading up to the midterms.  These will be the new tool of a hyper-partisan media, desperate to bring down a president they loathe and right the catastrophic wrong that occurred in November 2016.

Bob Woodward’s book, the New York Times op-ed, Omarosa’s tapes, Stormy’s tales, and hysterical Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee are all part of the mix, now joined by propaganda polls.

Treat these polls for what they are – partisan campaign commercials – and don’t despair.  These same pollsters predicted a Hillary Clinton landslide victory in 2016.  But do remember to vote this coming November.  The stakes could not be higher.

Liberals Don't Care about Character

By all accounts, Brett Kavanaugh is not only an excellent jurist, but also a good man.  According to Msgr. John Enzler, CEO and president of Catholic Charities for the Archdiocese of Washington, D.C.:

This is the guy next door, this is what he’s like.  He’s not like some intellectual powerhouse you’d never talk to.  This is a guy who’s very friendly, very outgoing, very nice, lot of laughter, big smile, wonderful father, wonderful husband, man of faith, lives his faith, goes to church every week.

When introduced as President Trump’s nominee to replace the retiring Justice Kennedy, Judge Kavanaugh spoke adoringly of his parents, wife, and two daughters.  “I thank God every day for my family,” he told the audience gathered at the White House.  He also spoke of his commitment to serve others through his D.C. Catholic church.

From all indications, Brett Kavanaugh loves his wife; loves his children; loves his parents; loves his fellow man; and, most importantly of all, loves his Lord.  As is the case with all of those who possess such character, Kavanaugh’s love is revealed not only through words.  Those who know him well confirm that he lives out his faith.  In other words, through his deeds, Judge Kavanaugh is known and admired.  And liberals just don’t care.

In spite of all that we’ve heard about President Trump’s character – or lack thereof – as I noted last year, there’s nothing in President Trump’s personal past that runs afoul of the perverse “standards” of modern liberalism.  As the Kavanaugh hearings again remind us, for modern liberals, it’s never really about the character of the individual.  Virtually all that matters is furthering the liberal agenda.

As Ron Ross at the American Spectator recently pointed out, President Trump’s real crime – seemingly now “the most unforgivable hate crime” – is “obstruction of liberalism.”  No doubt, liberals fear that Brett Kavanaugh is part of the same “criminal” cabal.  What’s more, given that the office of U.S. president is decided every four years, and Supreme Court judges receive lifetime appointments, Judge Kavanaugh – and those in the judiciary who are like-minded – are on liberals’ “most wanted” list.

Hence the absurd and clownish display we witnessed last week when Kavanaugh went before the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee.  After the opening day hearings, David French well summed up the sad spectacle:

[F]rom the top down, from senators to protesters to online trolls, the Democrats offered a preview of how they’d react to any Republican nominee, and it was a shining example of how and why conservatives don’t believe for one moment that Donald Trump is the sole source of American dysfunction.

In other words, it was as if Kramer and Newman had taken over the hearings.  After enduring a couple of days of ugly liberal antics, David Catron piled on:

During the first two days of the Kavanaugh confirmation hearings the Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee demonstrated why their party lost control of Congress, and that they still can’t be trusted with a majority in either house.  In addition to interrupting the proceedings countless times on hopelessly frivolous grounds and engaging in outrageous demagoguery, they openly encouraged demonstrators to disrupt the hearings with such disgusting behavior that Judge Kavanaugh’s wife was forced to lead his children out of the room on the first day.  These are the very Democrats, remember, who routinely lecture President Trump on matters of decorum.

As the caption above Catron’s piece notes, “Kavanaugh hearings reveal why their symbol is the jackass.”

Again, things will only get worse if President Trump has the opportunity to replace Ruth Ginsburg or one of her constitutionally ignorant left-wing colleagues.  Along with the rise of fake news and fake Christianity, lovers of the truth have had to contend with fake law.  Much of what is precious to modern liberals has become entrenched in U.S. law, not because of constitutionally legislative efforts, but through a rogue unconstitutional judiciary.

Whether abortion, same-sex “marriage,” immigration, climate change, speech, property rights, or the rest, left-wing jurists on the highest courts in our land have conducted themselves not as “umpires” – as Judge Kavanaugh put it – but as “super-legislators.”  Because the U.S. federal courts have been a reliable resource for liberal causes and left-wing law, anything or anyone – no matter their character – seen as a threat to the left’s hold on the courts must be “taken out.”

Because liberals have made a god of government, almost any politician or judge – no matter his character – with his sights set on Washington, D.C. must be ready to deal with the vile, crazy left.  In their lust to be rid of Trump, many liberals have forgotten how much they hate Mike Pence.  This past July, Frank Bruni of the New York Times reminded them:

There are problems with impeaching Donald Trump.  A big one is the holy terror waiting in the wings.

That would be Mike Pence, who mirrors the boss more than you realize.  He’s also self-infatuated.  Also a bigot.  Also a liar.  Also cruel.

To that brimming potpourri he adds two ingredients that Trump doesn’t genuinely possess: the conviction that he’s on a mission from God and a determination to mold the entire nation in the shape of his own faith, a regressive, repressive version of Christianity.  Trade Trump for Pence and you go from kleptocracy to theocracy.

Or, to put it another way, because he follows a version of the “Billy Graham rule,” the left sees Mike Pence as part of the “American Taliban.”  Last year, the Atlantic reported on “How Mike Pence’s Marriage Became Fodder for the Culture Wars.”  The author references a 2002 The Hill piece:

The Hill article gives more context on how the Pences were thinking about this, at least back in 2002.  Pence told the paper he often refused dinner or cocktail invitations from male colleagues, too: “It’s about building a zone around your marriage,” he said.  “I don’t think it’s a predatory town, but I think you can inadvertently send the wrong message by being in [certain] situations.”

The 2002 article notes that Pence arrived in Congress a half decade after the 1994 “Republican revolution,” when Newt Gingrich was the speaker of the House.  Several congressional marriages, including Gingrich’s, encountered difficulty that year.  Pence seemed wary of this.  “I’ve lost more elections than I’ve won,” he said.  “I’ve seen friends lose their families.  I’d rather lose an election.”  He even said he gets fingers wagged in his face by concerned Indianans.  “Little old ladies come and say, ‘Honey, whatever you need to do, keep your family together,'” he told The Hill.

Mike Pence puts his family and his marriage ahead of politics, and the left thinks this is lunacy.  As the Apostle Paul told Titus, “to the defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure; but both their minds and their consciences are defiled.”

A defiled heart and mind distorts everything.  The left hates Trump supposedly because he’s vile, vulgar, “trashy,” undignified, unpresidential, and piggish.  Mike Pence and Brett Kavanaugh can be accused of nothing similar, and the left hates them also.  For those corrupted by a liberal worldview, it’s never really about character.  It’s always about politics…and sex.

Dianne Feinstein Prepares a Deathblow for Kavanaugh

Yesterday, Democrat Senator Dianne Feinstein claimed that an anonymous woman may have accused Brett Kavanaugh of doing something in high school.

While the fake news media are having a field day, the truth is that only two Democrats have seen the letter, the person who wrote the letter is refusing to come forward, and we haven’t been told what the letter claims, but we have been told that it dates back to when Kavanaugh was in high school.

I’m so old that I remember when people like Feinstein were telling us that Obama’s regular, and criminal, use of drugs in high school was no big deal.  But now some anonymous accuser is claiming that Kavanaugh may have done something during high school, and leftists are beside themselves at the horror of it all.

Actually, I’m even older than that.  I remember when Feinstein told us Clinton’s lying under oath in order to avoid losing a #MeToo lawsuit had nothing to do with his fitness to be president.  She did say Clinton’s actions were “immoral, deplorable, and indefensible” and merited “strong condemnation and censure.”  Given that she voted to acquit Clinton, it would seem that Feinstein believes that being guilty of immoral, deplorable, and indefensible things has no bearing on a person’s suitability to be president.

But, apparently, anonymous sources claiming undefined things are enough to cause Feinstein to be even more upset at Kavanaugh.

There are actually several things going on here.

The most obvious is that as usual, leftists are resorting to character assassination when the facts don’t support their point of view.  The Democrats are trying to smear Kavanaugh – just as the racist Democrats tried to smear Justice Thomas because he didn’t stay on the Democrats’ thought plantation – with baseless charges.

Keep in mind that all the leftist positions are intellectually indefensible, so they’ve long since given up trying to use facts, reason, or logic to convince people that the left is right.  Rather, it’s all about emotions and personal attacks and the use of tyrannical force by the Supreme Court.  Trying to confuse voters by declaring that every rational person who disagrees with the left is a Nazi, deplorable, racist, homophobic hater is the left’s only rhetorical tool, along with lying about everything, of course.

Next most obvious is that Feinstein is facing a serious challenge to her seat in the Senate by an even farther left-wing Democrat loon from California.  Yes, in today’s circle of Democrats in power in California, Feinstein is far too moderate; she didn’t even get the Democrats’ endorsement for the Senate seat.

Interestingly, her challenger, Kevin de León, was president of the California state Senate when a massive #MeToo moment allegedly occurred.  One hundred forty-seven women signed a letter saying the Democrat-run capitol “perpetuates “pervasive” abuses, including sexual harassment, whistleblower retaliation, and “dehumanizing behavior by men with power in our workplaces[.]”

De León even shared an apartment with one of the supposedly worst perpetrators, but of course de León had no idea what was going on.

So what better way to stick a shiv into de León than to derail Kavanaugh’s nomination while bringing the idea of women being molested by men of power to the fore?  We have no idea if the letter, assuming it’s not totally made up, involves a high school boy – one of the least powerful people on the planet when it comes to women – and a high school girl and #MeToo, but that’s what the left is hinting at – that way, it’s harder to sue when it turns out to be a lie, but it won’t protect them from laughter if it turns out to be a jilted girlfriend claiming a stolen kiss when she was 18.

Another aspect of this smear is that the Democrats are desperate to delay this appointment until after the election.  If they manage to win the Senate, they’ll try to delegitimize any vote taken after the election, and the leftist Republican senators will be more likely to go along with that.  Even if they don’t win the Senate, they’ll have made their base think they could defeat Kavanaugh, which will keep voters voting Democrat.

The last aspect is that the left believes that if it can’t control the court, it has to delegitimize it.

While the left proclaimed the Court was just short of being Obama – the closest thing to God the left believes in – when the Court overthrew the laws of all 50 states to legalize abortion for any reason at any time up until birth and when it declared that the Founders had intended the Constitution to require marriage to be redefined, that “worship” must now change in a heartbeat to prevent the Court from actually doing its job.

Leftists believe that if the left can’t use the Court to tyrannize Americans, then Americans can’t use the Court to actually defend the Constitution.  If it doesn’t serve the left’s agenda, it needs to be burned to the ground.

One final note.  Feinstein has referred this anonymous missive to the FBI.

Yeah, the same FBI that we know is so politically biased that it used unverified Russian-sourced Democrat-paid for opposition research to enable spying on the Trump campaign.  The same FBI that said it was okay for Hillary to expose all of her government emails to Chinese hackers.

It’ll be interesting to see what leaks, and how accurate they turn out to be, come from this.  After all, the latest set of revealing emails indicates that some of the reporters Peter Strzok was leaking to weren’t happy about the fact that the leaks contained inaccuracies, so it doesn’t appear that the FBI feels the need to carefully fact-check its anonymous leaks.

Vegas will probably be taking odds on how long before the FBI goes to the FISA court claiming that the anonymous letter proves that Kavanaugh is a Putin puppet.

Given that we’re in a fight for America, if the Democrats pick Kennedy’s replacement, we’ll have a Supreme Court that explicitly rejects any and all constitutional constraints on the left’s fascist program.  It’s critical that you tell your friends, family members, and co-workers that Feinstein’s ploy is unlikely to be true.

After all, if there were any truth to the claim, it would have been brought out by the Democrats during the hearings to make Trump look stupid.  But if it’s false, then it will discredit the #MeToo movement by making it look as though all women who are harassed are just lying about it for political gain.

Is it really a good deal to empower people like Harvey Weinstein in order to inconvenience Kavanaugh?

China Flexes Hollywood Legal Muscle Over Blockbuster Season…

EXCLUSIVE: Eventually released in China much later than anticipated, the Orlando Bloom-starring S.M.A.R.T. Chase was not the big box office winner its producers desired. But Shanghai-based Bliss Media has come out the victor in a long BTS legal battle over the pic.

Almost two years after Stateside-set Das Films sued Bliss in Los Angeles Superior Court for kicking it off the project, an arbitration final award has come down strongly in favor of the Wei Han-founded company over the action flick that came out last fall in the Middle Kingdom.

“Bliss Media established that Das Films breached the Producer Deal Memo, breached the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing and, through Das, negligently misrepresented Donaldson’s availability,” retired Judge Terry Friedman wrote in the August 13 final award arbitration ruling, noting that the shell game seemingly played with bringing November Man helmer Roger Donaldson on as S.M.A.R.T. Chase’s director.

“Bliss Media is awarded $522,787 in damages on its breach of contract, breach of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing, and negligent misrepresentation claims,” the JAMS arbitrator added. “As the prevailing party, Bliss Media is entitled to $630,000 in reasonable attorney’s fees and $65,457.71 in costs,” Friedman tacked on for the Hacksaw Ridge distributor from the interim award of late June, which followed hearings earlier that month

“Bliss Media is vindicated by the decision,” the LA-based lead attorney Susan Leader of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld told Deadline of the final award. “It’s telling that although there was a clear arbitration provision in the parties’ agreement, Das Films initiated this lawsuit publicly in state court, and it did so at the same time Bliss was filming S.M.A.R.T. Chase in China. At the time it filed the action, Das Films made a number of statements questioning Bliss’ integrity. Although Bliss did not seek damages for reputational harm, it was important for Bliss to clear its name and set the record straight that it was Das Films that had made misrepresentations to Bliss and breached the contract, and not the other way around.”

Das was involved in a similar sort of suit back in 2011 with Joy Luck Club director  Wayne Wang and his production company for breach of contract after the helmer walked away from a project with them.

In this matter, while the reputation issue might be big to Bliss and the actual sums involved might seem relatively small, the point made by the award isn’t. While determining exactly how much money was lost is purely speculative, the arbitrator did note in the award that “Bliss Media likely missed out on revenues it would have reaped had the film been released in Summer 2017.”

The fact is that summer in China, like in the U.S., is certified blockbuster season. Yet, because the Chinese government pretty much only allows domestic films or approved co-productions to hit the thousands of screens in the country during that time, S.M.A.R.T. Chase‘s inability to meet that “lucrative window,” as the award ruling calls it, sidelined the flick before it even debuted.

That’s a point that former Judge Friedman noted in last month’s final award document of the deal on a film once called Dragon, an agreement that bubbled out of a propitious 2015 American Film Market meeting between Han and Sriram Das.

“To the extent there is any uncertainty regarding whether Das Films breached the Producer Deal Memo by failing to hire Donaldson and to do so timely, there can be no doubt that by this conduct Das Films breached the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing,” the arbitrator asserts. “Despite Han’s repeated inquiries and demands, Das Films dragged its feet for months in fulfilling its ultimately unrealized obligation to hire Donaldson, or any director. Das precluded Han from having any direct contact with Donaldson, which prevented her from discovering his extended unavailability. As a result, Han could not receive the fruits of the Producer Deal Memo which, most important to Han and as she constantly expressed to Das, was to produce Dragon in time for Summer 2017 release.”

Friedman said bluntly: “Das Films’ implied covenant claim fails for the same reason as its breach of contract cause of action. It failed to perform its contractual duties, which relieved Bliss Media of any contractual obligations to Das Films.”

Now the final award has been made, the next step for Bliss is to petition in LA Superior Court to have it converted into a judgment. If Das Films don’t kick up an appeal, it then would be expected to pay up.

When chased by Deadline, lawyers for Das Media did not respond for request for comment on the matter
