Obama vs. the Nation

Transference is a psychiatric term for the ability to take your faults and ascribe them to others.  In the dictionary next to the definition should be a photo of former President Barack Obama, particularly the section in his September 7 University of Illinois speech where he attacked President Trump for fomenting paranoia and division:

In a moment reminiscent of Hillary Clinton’s outrageous characterization of Trump voters as “deplorable” and “irredeemable,” President Obama said: “I have to say this… Over the past few decades, the politics of division and resentment and paranoia has unfortunately found a home in the Republican Party.”

Labeling the 63 million Trump voters as “deplorable” and “irredeemable” didn’t work out for Hillary Clinton when she ran a failed presidential campaign against Trump in 2016.  Labeling the same voters as divisive, resentful and paranoid will not work for Democrats in the November midterm elections.

No, it will not, and the remarks by this poster child for self-serving hypocrisy and delusion go a long way toward explaining how Obama shrank the Democratic Party by a thousand state, local, and federal legislative seats during his eight years in office.  Once again, to use President Obama’s own phrase, he “acted stupidly.”

That was the remark President Obama would fire towards the Cambridge, Massachusetts police who arrested black Harvard professor Harry Louis Gates, Jr. at his home for disorderly conduct:

President Obama knocked back some cold beer in the Rose Garden with Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. and police Sgt. James Crowley of Cambridge, Mass., the two men at the heart last week of a heated debate over race in America[.] …

The dispute began July 16 when Crowley, while investigating a report of a potential burglary at Gates’ house, arrested the agitated professor on a charge of disorderly conduct.  Gates, who is black, accused the white sergeant of racial profiling.  The disorderly conduct charge was dropped – but the dispute exploded into a national debate, particularly after Obama said the police had “acted stupidly” in arresting Gates.

Remember Obama’s beer summit, held to talk about how the Cambridge Police acted against the offended black professor Gates?  And then, afterward, who helped Gates down the steps?  The “racist cop,” of course.  Obama couldn’t be bothered to make sure his friend got down the steps.

From Ferguson to Baltimore and beyond, President Obama’s words aiding and abetting the war on cops and inciting racial division have been the equivalent of yelling “fire” in a crowded theater.  He has encouraged a false narrative of racist cops and racist police departments whose officers are guilty until proven innocent, or buried, whichever comes first.  Never mind that in both Baltimore and Ferguson, the cops accused of racism and murder were found guilty of neither.

It was Ferguson, Missouri, where President Obama’s Justice Department sent forty FBI agents to prove that Officer Darren Wilson was a racist murder of an innocent black teen. He made the race-baiting Al Sharpton, who helped create the myth of “hands up, don’t shoot,” a key adviser on race matters and Ferguson.

In December 2014, President Obama stoked the fires of animus against cops when he said on BET that police were judging blacks, not on the content of their character, but on the color of their skin:

President Barack Obama made an appearance on Black Entertainment Television (BET) Monday to reach out to black Americans and discuss calls for criminal justice reform after two grand jury decisions cleared white police officers in the deaths of two black men.  The president has to carefully express his concern for the safety of African-Americans while not undermining the law enforcement community.  President Obama suggested that the issue of police vs. minorities is deeply rooted in American culture and is the result of police having a “subconscious fear of folks who look different.”

That is a common theme for the divisive Obama, one he now applies to illegal immigration and border reform, saying those who don’t like illegal aliens entering the U.S. to murder our children, like Kate Steinle and Mollie Tibbetts, or oppose sanctuary cities that harbor illegal alien criminals or believe that the rape, torture, and murder gang known as MS-13 aren’t here seeking a better life, are racists.

The alleged fear by conservatives of others not like them was a key part of the famous “bitter clingers” remark made during the 2008 campaign:

Barack Obama had not yet locked up the nomination for his party when he revealed his true feelings about gun owners to attendees of a private fund raiser in San Francisco last April:

You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them.  And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not.  And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.

In Obama’s world, Islam is a religion of tolerance – not so much of Christians, also maligned as “bitter clingers.”  He took a shot at Christians when he said at an Easter prayer breakfast that “I have to say that, sometimes when I listen to other less-than-loving expressions by Christians, I get concerned.”  Not so concerned was he by the mass beheading of Coptic Christians on a Libyan beach by the Islamic State.

Obama once lectured Christians to “get off their high horse” as they pronounced their teachings to the faithful:

During remarks at the National Prayer Breakfast, President Barack Obama said that all religions had grappled with radical elements attempting to co-opt its spiritual messages, a rebuke to those who want him to more forcefully condemn what they consider a violent extremism inherent in Islam[.] …

“Humanity has been grappling with these questions throughout history,” Obama continued, “and lest we get up on our high horse and think that this is unique to some other place, remember that during the Crusades and the Inquisition people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ.”

Obama also named slavery and Jim Crow as examples in America, along with religious intolerance “that would have shocked Gandhi” in India.

Religious intolerance?  Physician, heal thyself.  Jesus preached peace long before the prophet Muhammad mounted a horse, grabbed his sword, and began beheading infidels on his way to Mecca.  As for the Crusades, they came after and in response to centuries of Islamic conquest and aggressive war against the infidels of the Christian West.  As Princeton scholar and Islamic expert Bernard Lewis explains, “The Crusade was a delayed response to the jihad, the holy war for Islam, and its purpose was to recover by war what had been lost by war – to free the holy places of Christendom and open them once again, without impediment, to Christian pilgrimage.”  According to St. Louis University and Crusade scholar Thomas Madden, “[a]ll the Crusades met the criteria of just wars.”

Slavery was an institution supported by Democrats in the South.  Jim Crow laws were written by Democrats.  Evils may have been committed in the name of Christ, but not at the urging of Christ, who preached peace and love and mercy to one’s enemies.

It is Barack Hussein Obama who divided America and incited paranoia, attacking, cops, Christians, and clingers, just to name a few.

Defeating Iran's Mullahs

The Islamic Republic of Iran has entered its fourth decade, and the values and legacy of the revolution it was founded upon continue to have profound and contradictory consequences for Iranian life.  The mullahs have ruled over the defenseless Persian people with iron fists and absolute power.  As a result, millions of Iranians were forced to flee their home to the four corners of the globe.

Those remaining have been targeted in waves of arrests of largely innocent people.  They have been accompanied by widespread torture, rape, and mass executions.  Tens of thousands more were torn away from their homes and moved to Islamic dungeons.  These prisoners of conscience were forced to confess to crimes they never committed and then either exterminated or sent back to medieval Islamic torture chambers, where they simply faded away.  It is difficult for many people to even talk about these horrible tragedies under the Islamic rules in Iran.  I personally spoke with a few lucky ones who managed to flee the country in the ’90s.

In 1979, upon returning from his long exile, Ayatollah Khomeini set the stage for gaining absolute power via primitive Islamic rules and by employing hundreds of thousands of zealous revolutionary guards and militia police against opposition elements within the country.  The machinery of coercion went to work against the Iranian people, who were unaware of the plot of one the greatest terrorist-minded individuals of the twentieth century, the ayatollah Khomeini.  The year 1979 was the beginning of the rejuvenation of the evil empire of Islam.

The propaganda apparatus of the newly emerged empire of evil went to work.  They began with their Cultural Revolution.  Numerous political figures, clerics, and academics were involved in the cultural revolution between 1980 and 1983.  They expelled some 700 university professors from Iran’s academic institutions in a short time.  The universities were finally closed in June 1980, and the purification process began.

The execution of thousands of prisoners of conscience in the Summer of 1988 by the direct order of the founder of the Islamic Republic, Ayatollah Khomeini, reached its height.

In his speech, Khomeini said:

Those who are in prisons throughout the country and remain committed to their support for the “Monafeqin” [Mojahedin, the MEK], are waging war on God and are condemned to execution[.] … Destroy the enemies of Islam immediately.  About the cases, use whichever criterion that speeds up the implementation of the [execution] verdict.

Ayatollah Khomeini’s notable legacy will live alongside the most infamous and hated men in history, such as Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, Pol Pot, and Saddam Hussein, who sent millions of their own countrymen to their deaths.  Iran’s leaders have turned a wealthy country with a rich history and culture into an economically depleted rogue state whose chief exports are violence, bloodshed, and chaos.

That is how the Iranians learned of Islamic justice.  That is how the Iranian people gained firsthand experience of the laws of Islam in their society.  And that is why, after forty years of incessant indoctrination of Islamic propaganda, Iran has the largest anti-Islam population in the entire world and a huge cohort of pro-Western youths.  The Islamic Republic brainwashing machine has simply backfired.

Ironically, the more vociferous the Iranian people became in defying the terrorist State, the more European countries engaged in appeasing the Islamic tyrants.  They looked the other way then, and they are looking the other way now.

The only way to stop Iran ‘s despotic regime from another holocaust is to help Iranians change the regime themselves.  Notably, the Islamic regime has no fear of any foreign invasion.  The mullahs’ only fear comes from within: the Iranian people.

On the 14th anniversary of the death of Ayatollah Khomeini, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei spoke:

The American threats are not new.  They have threatened us since the beginning of the Islamic revolution.  They know that militarily attacking Iran and the Iranian nation would mean suicide for the aggressor.

Millions of Iranians consider the mullahs and their lackeys and lobbyists as true enemies of Iran.  Iranians have never asked for charity from anybody, but all they are saying is that people and countries that are at clear risk from the mullahs ought to step to the plate and help the Iranians, in numerous effective ways, to get rid of these usurpers, these religious fanatics who are hell-bent on promoting their deadly agenda.  The Iranian people will most assuredly dislodge these wolves and try them for their crimes with all due process, the due process that they have completely denied the people of Iran for forty years.  But tried they will be, and we need help from our friends to destroy the common enemy before it escalates its bloodletting program, both in Iran and against Israel and eventually engulfing the entire region.

We have invaluable allies on the ground in Iran.  There are some 50 million Iranians who are the best hope.  These enlightened Iranians despise the mullahs and have no animosity toward Israel or the United States.  Most of these people are well educated and smart and have broken away from the slavery and fraud of Islamism.  They are in the best position inside to send the mullahs packing for good.  We must also support from the outside Prince Reza Pahlavi, who has the full support of Iranians inside.  Prince Pahlavi has been advocating a referendum for the people to decide for themselves what type of government they desire.  “Iranians are the ones who decide their own destiny and the future form of their government in a free and democratic referendum.”

In short, European countries must join the United States in ending the rule of these religious fanatics.  Instead of throwing a lifeline to the sinking ship of the mullahcracy, we must act resolutely in doing everything we can to help the Iranian people to defeat the mullahs.  This is our best bet to end the mullahs’ reign of terror.

President Trump and America's Diet

A president’s diet might seem like a small, personal, and rather inconsequential detail, but it says a lot about his focus on health, nutrition, and overall well-being.  Unfortunately, America’s demise of healthy diets directly parallels the decline in nutritious diets by our presidents.

Check out this list of presidents’ favorite foods by Fresh n’ Lean, and you’ll notice that tastes have changed over the years.  Early presidents craved things like tomatoes and eggs, crackers and water, cheese, omelets, apples, and the occasional macaroon.  Fast-forward to the last few presidents, and the menu includes items like waffles, Jelly Bellies, hot dogs, cheeseburgers, and extra well done steak.

A favorite indulgence may not be indicative of a bad diet, but the current president’s diet, as a whole, is a little worrisome.

While President Trump’s diet has reportedly improved some over the last year – as a result of his well publicized physical and health check-up earlier this year – much has been written about his food preferences and eating habits.  Those close to Trump say his diet consists of fast food and high-calorie meals.  It’s even been said that his major food groups include McDonald’s, KFC, pizza, and Diet Coke.

According to Corey Lewandowski, Trump’s former campaign manager who wrote the book Let Trump Be Trump, the president would often go 14 to 16 hours without eating, followed by a McDonald’s dinner of two Big Macs, two Filet-O-Fish sandwiches, and a chocolate milkshake.  For those tracking at home, that’s a sudden intake of 2,430 calories.

Lewandowski also says Trump frequently skips breakfast and doesn’t eat the bread on his sandwiches.  Steak – his favorite food – is ordered extra-well done with a side of ketchup.  And though he doesn’t drink stimulants like tea, coffee, or alcohol, he guzzles down a dozen Diet Cokes per day.

As in most ways, Trump is an outlier as a president.  Recent former presidents like Barack Obama, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George H.W. Bush, Ronald Reagan, and Jimmy Carter all had, on the whole, relatively healthy diets.  Even though a diet is a highly personal thing, there’s a case to be made that the president must lead by example in this area, as in others.

Getting Americans to Eat Healthier

The issue of getting Americans to eat healthier certainly doesn’t hinge on President Trump, but he can play a catalytic role in improving this aspect of America’s health.

Here are a few thoughts and ideas on the topic:

  1. Let the First Lady Take Charge

Unless something drastic changes in Trump’s diet, he probably isn’t the best person to have a direct voice in improving the diet and nutrition of Americans.  It would be difficult for others to take him seriously.  But there is someone close to the president who could: Melania Trump, the FLOTUS.

While Melania is purposeful about keeping her personal life private, we do know she’s extremely health-conscious.  She tries to eat seven pieces of fruit per day, which offer a complete set of vitamins and minerals for her hair and skin.  She also opts for nutrient-filled smoothies and fiber-rich oatmeal, along with targeted supplements to keep her healthy and vibrant.  When she does indulge, Melania goes for a piece of dark chocolate or a scoop of ice cream.

Taking a page out of former FLOTUS Michelle Obama’s playbook, Melania could get involved in her husband’s public health policies and encourage healthy eating, proper dieting, and even responsible fitness regimens.

  1. Continue Making School Lunches Healthier

According to the Hechinger Report, kids from low-income families living along the Mississippi Delta are genuinely excited about the healthy food options they get at school – such as apples and carrots – since they don’t get them at home.

For some students, the only healthy whole grains, fruits, and vegetables they get come from supplement food programs like school meals.  Keeping these meals healthy will give students the opportunity to receive proper nutrition and set a foundation for healthier cravings in the future.

  1. Incentivize Healthy Eating

For an entire year, officials in one county of Massachusetts ran a study where they gave certain food stamp-users 30 cents back for every dollar they spent on fruits and vegetables.  When compared to families who weren’t part of the program, the rewarded families reportedly ate one quarter cup more of fruits and vegetables per day.  They also spent $1.19 more on produce each month – a modest yet noticeable increase.

Is this a sign that the proper incentives could persuade individuals – particularly those in low-income brackets – to eat healthier?

Health journalist Francie Diep believes, “Policymakers could amplify the effects of reward programs with disincentives against buying unhealthy foods.  A mathematical model has shown that disallowing food stamps to be used to buy sugary drinks would reduce rates of diabetes and heart disease.”

  1. Make Health Diets a Real Priority

It’s one thing for a president to say he supports a healthy diet and proper nutrition.  It’s something else entirely for that same president to make these actual priorities.  When you look at the numbers and understand the consequences, it becomes easier to see the significance.

“It’s hard to fathom how much our country actually spends on health care: currently US$3.2 trillion per year, or nearly 1 in 5 dollars in the entire U.S. economy,” writes Dariush Mozaffarian, professor of nutrition at Tufts University.  “That’s almost $1,000 each month for every man, woman and child in the country, exceeding most people’s budgets for food, gas, housing or other common necessities.”

It doesn’t stop there.  Diet-related conditions account for a number of health expenditures and lead to more than $125 billion in lost productivity and other indirect costs.

“At the same time, health care costs cripple the productivity and profits of American businesses,” Mozafarrian continues.  “From small to large companies, crushing health care expenditures are a major obstacle to growth and success.  Warren Buffet recently called rising medical costs the ‘tapeworm of American economic competitiveness.’  Our food system is feeding the tapeworm.”

Putting It All Together

When you look at the current state of diet and nutrition in America, it’s clear that Americans don’t have equal access to healthy, affordable food.  Children, especially, are at risk of having improper diets.  Despite the fact that people are told to eat fruits and vegetables, the government programs subsidize processed food ingredients.

In addition to eating healthier, President Trump needs to make this a national policy priority and focus on setting a better precedent for the American people.

Presidents are known for a lot – but healthy eating usually isn’t on their list of positive accomplishments.  Despite the fact that President 45 doesn’t have a particularly clean diet, nutrition needs to become a bigger part of his health policies moving forward.

Presidents, Diets, and the Need for a Better Precedent

A president’s diet might seem like a small, personal, and rather inconsequential detail, but it says a lot about his focus on health, nutrition, and overall well-being.  Unfortunately, America’s demise of healthy diets directly parallels the decline in nutritious diets by our presidents.

9/11, 2018

Seventeen years have passed since the horrific events of September 11, 2001.  As the years pass, people’s memories of that gruesome day also fade.  It seems the potential for another 9/11 is not on Americans’ radar.  For many young people, born after the harrowing incident, it is not even a memory.

Seventeen years is a long time for a collective consciousness, and there are issues more pressing to many.  Bestselling author T. Jefferson Parker, in his latest novel, Swift Vengeance, has this book quote: “The ghosts of 9/11 are not just Taucher’s.  They belong to all of us who get fooled.”  Parker explained, “We as a people need to be vigilant to protect ourselves from another 9/11 or San Bernardino.  U.S. citizens have short memories and are busy people with hectic lives.  We tend to forget things.  We are now back to our comfortable ways and perhaps do not keep an eye out, or pay attention.  Our beautiful free society is a blessing, but also our Achilles heel.”

American Thinker interviewed two former Special Forces officers, one currently working in the military; a retired FBI agent; and a retired high-ranking CIA official.  All agree with Parker, although they emphasize that security and intelligence services are as diligent as they have ever been, but it is now a challenge to make sure the American public, many politicians, and the press are as well.

Sean Parnell was a platoon leader in the Mountain Division, fighting in Afghanistan.  “While watching television, I saw an airplane crashing into the World Trade Center.  It was then that I decided to serve my country.  I was inspired by the selfless acts of Americans running into the building instead of away from it, trying to save people they did not even know.  After having to medically retire, I decided to become an author.  I wrote my non-fiction book, Outlaw Platoon, because I wanted to bridge the gap between those fighting and American civilians.  I hope Americans understood what my men went through on their behalf, fighting for their freedoms.  The novel, just released, Man of War, was written to awake Americans that there are terrorists still out there who want to kill us, and that all over the world, our military is still in the fight.”

Jose Rodriguez, Jr., the former CIA director of the National Clandestine Service and author of Hard Measures, believes that the mainstream media are so obsessed and distracted with President Trump that they do not focus their attention on terrorism.  He has a point, considering that recent attacks were never in the headlines.

A former Special Operations officer reasons that most Americans do not have terrorism at the top of their list because “they have become immune to the small-scale attacks where only a few people die.  We have been successful in preventing the large-scale attacks by terrorist organizations.  If we look at the weekend tolls from shootings in Chicago every week, they are much higher than recent terrorist attacks.”

All those national security officials interviewed feel that bipartisanship, something that occurred shortly after 9/11, has dissipated.  They point to history, claiming that this has been going on for years.  Retired FBI agent and the first deputy assistant director of the Counterterrorism Division Terry Turchie, wants people to “read the Weather Underground model of operation, where they say that resistance means causing division, and it takes everyone’s attention from the real problems.  Just look at disgraced FBI agent Peter Strzok.  He headed the Counterespionage Section and was the deputy assistant director of the Counterintelligence Division. Instead of concentrating on protecting us against terrorism, he became part of the resistance movement.  He is nothing more than part of a political hit team.”

Rodriguez points to the Gina Haspel confirmation hearings.  “She was my right-hand person for four years.  Yet she had to swim upstream at the hearings, even though she is competent, thoughtful, and has great experience.”  He has a good argument, considering that many of the Democratic senators were sympathetic to the terrorists.  Democratic New Mexico senator Martin Heinrich asked her, “Do you think that a transcript that says the detainees continued to scream has the same gravity, the same reality of an actual video?”  Senator Jack Reed (D-R.I.) had the audacity to compare a CIA officer to a terrorist when asking, “If one of your operation officers was captured and subjected to waterboarding and enhanced interrogation techniques, would you consider that to be moral and good tradecraft?”

Maybe these senators should think about the screams of those 3,000 people on 9/11 as they plunged to their deaths, were burned alive, or were dismembered.  They need to consider that these bona fide American heroes, among whom Gina Haspel is included, men and women who serve in the intelligence agency, never get the heroic welcome or thanks they so rightly deserve for the risks they take.  Their names will never be known, and they will never receive the public gratitude so many others get.  There are no parades for these quiet professionals.  They also should be reminded that the first person to die in battle, defending this country right after 9/11, was Mike Spann, a CIA paramilitary officer, who was beaten to death by the Islamic extremists in Afghanistan as they screamed, “Allahu akbar.”

When asked about the next threat, all cited either cyber-security or the porous border.  They want secure borders and ports of entry.  The Special Forces operator told American Thinker, “You would think this should be a nonpartisan national security issue.  But today we cannot have a rational discussion because immediately people are accused of being racist.”

Rodriguez agrees: “People who want to do nefarious things can get into this country, which can lead to all types of problems.  If there is a capacity for drug-dealers, traffickers, and illegal immigrants to cross the border, it is certainly possible to be used for all types of bad activities.  If we have totally open borders, terrorists would just be able to drive through.”

Today, terrorist organizations overseas have been forced underground, which makes it harder for them to plan and execute attacks.  Everyone emphasizes that, working quietly behind the scenes, those in the military and the Intelligence Community are busy finding and assessing threats around the world.  Yet, because of their prosperity and security, many Americans are disconnected from those who are trying to keep them safe.  Since the threats are not as significant, there has been a loss of unity.  Rodriguez summarized it well: “In many ways, the fact terrorism is now on the back pages, this is positive.  As long as the intelligence community and our government officials are laser-focused, they will be able to force terrorists to keep their heads down, allowing us to view and find them.  Rather than having the media and some politicians second-guess our every move, the Intelligence Community is being left to do our jobs.”

Houston, We Have a Problem

Texas has a dramatic history when it comes to voting.  “Landslide Lyndon” Johnson, who went on to become America’s 36th president, benefited from blatant fraud to win his first Senate race in 1948.  Following a runoff against a popular former governor, Johnson’s backers used recounts, corrections, and phony vote-shifting to hand him an 87-vote primary victory.

Today, it isn’t so easy to simply fabricate thousands of votes.  However, inaccurate voter registration rolls, brimming with the names of noncitizens, as well as those who have moved away or died, open the way to error and fraud.  That threatens the integrity of the vote in Texas and elsewhere.

A review of the presidential votes cast in Texas in 2008, 2012, and 2016 by the data analysis firm Votistics found a disturbing number of duplicate registrations and multiple votes.  This means that inaccurate voter rolls are not harmless, forgivable mistakes.

According to Votistics, data provided by the Texas secretary of state indicate that 104,800 people appear to be registered more than once.  That is, the list contains thousands of name/date of birth pairs.  Of course, some cases could reflect unusual coincidences.  But most are the same person.  The State of Texas and county registrars have the information necessary to confirm duplicate registrations and remove the extra ones.

Votistics found that 2,159 of these “voting pairs” appeared to have cast ballots in the same election.  The firm found another 272 cases of registrants who lacked fully matching middle names but also apparently voted more than once, as confirmed by data matching at various commercial sites that track personal information.  While Votistics had no detailed information on these ballots, at least some of them were cast erroneously or fraudulently.

Moreover, 45,854 registrants appeared to have voted more than once in at least one general election according to the records provided by the Texas State Board of Elections.

Texas also has a problem of the dead, or presumed dead, voting.  For instance, Votistics discovered that more than 3,000 of those who cast ballots apparently were older than the world’s oldest known person.  Remarkable!

In 2016 alone, nearly 800 people above the age of 100 appear to have voted, most of them in person.  Either the location of the Fountain of Youth is a few hundred miles off, or there’s a lot of voter impersonation going on.  Regardless of whether these ballots were fraudulent, the secretary of state should lead a determined effort to fix election rolls across the state.

The problems are systemic.  The American Civil Rights Union (ACRU) has been reviewing the role of inaccurate registration lists across the country.  In Texas, 39 counties have more people registered than the number eligible to vote.  One of the worst offenders is Starr County, with roughly 16 percent more registrants than qualified residents.

In 2014, the ACRU secured a consent decree with Terrell County, Texas requiring officials to clean up their voter rolls by eliminating outdated and duplicate names.  As a result, the analysis by Votistics showed the number of “surplus” registrants down markedly.

Now the ACRU has negotiated a comprehensive settlement with Starr County, where an election official admitted under oath that if he attended the funeral of someone he knew to be a registered voter and saw the dead body with his own eyes, he would not remove the person’s name from the rolls without an official death certificate.  Is there any wonder why the rolls are in such a mess?

The problem of questionable voting is not limited to Texas.  Pennsylvania has welcomed not just centenarians, but double-centenarians in the voting booth.  Florida’s voter rolls have been swollen by the many noncitizens in the state.  Estimates of the number of inaccurate registrations nationwide are in the millions.

Election offenses are not victimless crimes.  For instance, limiting the ballot to citizens ensures that those empowered to decide the nation’s future have a substantial stake in the result.  Every illegal vote cast, no matter how well intentioned, dilutes the votes of the rest of us.

Organized fraud is far worse.  Although no candidate today likely matches the “success” of Lyndon Johnson, who would never have become president absent his 1948 theft, in close races, it doesn’t take many “fake” votes to change the outcome.  Last fall, one of Virginia’s state legislative races ended in a tie, and that result determined who controlled the House of Delegates.  The GOP held the seat when its candidate’s name was chosen by lot.  Just one improper vote would have changed the work of the entire legislature.

The 2000 presidential election was decided by 537 Florida ballots.  Moreover, the 2016 presidential election turned on close races in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.  The contest could be even closer next time.  Even without organized fraud, people who are not eligible to vote could end up deciding who governs America.

Keeping accurate voting lists is a local and state responsibility. Indeed, these governments have no more important responsibility than protecting the integrity of America’s democracy.  When they fail to do their duty, groups like the ACRU must go to court to hold election officials accountable.

Texas has much important work to do, as do most other states.  With the next election just two months away, they’d better get busy.

Enemies Within

For decades, we have allowed the American left (public education, Hollywood, the Democratic Party, and fake news media) to indoctrinate our children, teaching them that America sucks and is the greatest source of pain and suffering for people both here and abroad.  We’re still allowing leftists to mold and shape our kids into their anti-Christian radical progressive image as early as preschool.

Consequently, we have young adults in positions of power and influence who literally hate their country.  Like sleeper cells, leftist young enemies-within operatives are seeking to bring down by any means necessary America as founded, openly advocating violence and treason.

Mega-millionaire pro-football player Colin Kaepernick is an operative of the leftist young enemies within movement.  Nike executives who gifted Kaepernick hero status for hating his country are also members of the young enemies within movement.  Facebook and Twitter are active members of the movement, boldly censoring conservative, patriotic, and Christian speech, claiming that such talk is hateful.

Starbucks executives believe the leftist lie that America is overrun with rabid racists.  Therefore, Starbucks sales clerks were instructed to lecture customers about race when ordering coffee.  I suspect that Starbucks clerks lectured only white customers.

Upon suggesting that a Millennial family member visit Mt. Rushmore while visiting South Dakota, that person’s venomous response was, “I wouldn’t go across the street to visit those guys.”  Clearly, public school taught my young white relative that the men carved in Mt. Rushmore were evil racist white slave-owners.

Watching the Jeopardy TV show, I learned that the new African-American museum in Washington, D.C. features a display of bricks with the names of slaves owned by Thomas Jefferson.  The exhibit makes the point that Jefferson was a hypocrite for owning slaves and saying, “All men are created equal.”  To ignore Jefferson’s great achievements to dedicate an entire exhibit on the fact that he owned slaves, which was legal, is purposed to demonize this Founding Father and America in the minds of our youths.

Young corporate executives believe and pander to the left’s negative view of America.  This is why we see corporate advertising supportive of lies such as that America is destroying the planet and that cops routinely murder blacks.

Leftists have instilled in our youths the lie that people around the world have too little because evil, greedy, and selfish Americans have too much.  This is why many youths believe that it is only fair that we open our borders to whoever wishes to enter.  And how dare we expect immigrants to assimilate, speak English, and embrace capitalism?  Youths believe that defending our borders against the invasion of illegals is racist and hateful.  Our kids have also been taught the lie that Christians, conservatives, and Republicans are haters obsessed with suppressing women and minorities.

Corporate executive operatives of the young enemies within movement believe that a majority of Americans share leftist disdain for their country.  This is why the NFL originally rallied behind Kaepernick, leading the charge of pro football players taking a knee in protest against our National Anthem.

The NFL protest is really highly paid, privileged celebrities giving our military (active and veterans), our brave men and women in blue, and America their middle fingers.  It is stunning that NFL executives originally thought supporting such disrespect was a good idea.

The American left’s demonizing of America in the minds of our youths has worked so well that openly socialist and even communist candidates are winning elections.  “Yutes” love socialist presidential candidate Bernie Sanders.

Everywhere you turn, we are witnessing young enemies-within operatives’ vitriolic no-holds-barred unprecedented attacks on our president, our nation’s best interest, our traditional principles and values, our Constitutional rights, and national security.

It is mind-boggling that without any evidence, leftists have successfully falsely branded Trump the same as Hitler in the minds of many of my fellow blacks.  In reality, Trump is the best thing for blacks since sliced bread.  Black unemployment is at historic lows.

I am encouraged that young blacks are on the national stage informing blacks about the American left’s deceptions and betrayals.

More Christians are finally becoming salt, pushing back against leftists’ war on our culture.  Christians blocked a California bill that would have made it illegal to counsel people unhappy with their same-sex attractions.  Passing the bill would have led to jailing pastors for their biblical sermons.  Twenty years ago, the Religious Freedom Restoration Act received bipartisan support and was signed into law by Bill Clinton.  Today, Democrats are vehemently warring against our religious liberty, ruining peoples’ lives and throwing them into jail for their faith.

Young enemies-within operatives are demanding the repeal of our 2nd Amendment right to bear arms.

One evening, I was at the Dancing Water Fountain Bellagio in Las Vegas.  Around a thousand people where gathered, watching the spectacular dancing waters accompanied by Whitney Houston’s amazing rendition of our National Anthem.  I was confident that the crowd would erupt in enthusiastic applause and national pride at the end.  Shockingly, the crowd remained relatively quiet, not particularly moved.  I thought, Dear Lord, what have they done to America in the minds of these young people?  Public education teaches students that patriotism is racist, that the concept of American exceptionalism is rude, arrogant, and insensitive to the rest of the world.

Far too many young people believe that opposing leftists’ transformation of America in any way is hateful, racist, and mean.  No one wants to be thought of as hateful.  As such, many older Americans have surrendered to leftist attacks on our nation.  They passively allow leftists to indoctrinate our kids to become young adult leftist sleeper-cell operatives.

Tragically, many youths now embrace the left’s version of utopia, in which government dictates behavior and controls every aspect of our lives, including who lives and who dies.  In the left’s utopia, counterculture behavior is celebrated, while traditional principles and values are frowned upon and deemed extreme.  Disturbingly, many of our youths are infected with entitlement mindsets.

California’s new sex ed curriculum includes a study guide for the transgender children’s book I Am Jazz and a “sexual health toolkit” that instructs kids about anal penetration, lube, and using fruit as sex toys.  California parents are forbidden to opt out their children.  Young leftist enemies-within operatives are behind this outrageous child abuse.

I am pleased to report that conservatives and Christians are fighting back, producing movies, TV series, and other entertainment to break the left’s stronghold on the hearts and minds of our youths.  If the GOP loses the House in November, our progress will come to a screeching halt.

Let’s keep the GOP in control of Congress to continue Trump’s liberation of America, moving us onward and upward.

Cosmonaut shows space station hole to calm public…

MOSCOW (AFP) –

A cosmonaut on Monday showed off a hole in the International Space Station that caused loss of oxygen after Russia suggested the leak could have been caused deliberately.

Cosmonaut Sergei Prokopyev posted a video on social media where he shows the small sealed hole in the wall of a Russian-made Soyuz space capsule docked onto the ISS.

“As you can see everything is calm on board, we are living in peace and friendship as always,” said the 43-year-old cosmonaut, who is on his first space mission.

The hole was located on August 30 after an air leak on the orbiting space station which is currently home to astronauts from Russia, the US and Germany.

The head of the Russian space agency Dmitry Rogozin caused a sensation last week when he suggested the hole could have been drilled deliberately — either back on Earth or in space.

A Russian MP who is a former cosmonaut said that the hole could have been drilled by an astronaut who was mentally unbalanced.

The Russian space agency has convened a commission to investigate the incident which it said will present conclusions in mid-September.

Photos of the hole had not been officially made public although NASA briefly posted an image in a video before deleting it.

The hole covered with dark sealant is hidden under a padded flap, Prokopyev showed in a video he said he had made to “dispel rumours.”

Prokopyev described how the astronauts discovered “a 2mm hole where our air was going out” and covered it with three layers of sealant.

“Please don’t worry we’re all right,” the smiling cosmonaut said, reassuring viewers that the module is now “completely hermetically sealed”.

“As you can see, we can easily be in here without space helmets and no one is plugging the hole with a finger as they write in the media.”

The Soyuz spacecraft is used to ferry astronauts to and from the ISS. The hole is in a section that will not be used for the return journey to Earth.

Prokopyev’s video prompted grateful comments on his social media page, with Diana Apalikova writing: “You are doing really well. Yes, people did worry too much.”

Others joked about the incident, such as Alexey Bolkisev, who wrote: “Next time try drilling holes when you’re sober.”
