Donald Trump's Crimes

President Trump is indisputably guilty of many crimes against the societal and political norms of this country. These crimes are profound and grievous, and they shake the very foundations upon which acceptable presidential behaviour has always been based. His actions and demeanour are so abhorrent and antithetical to the fundamental progressive doctrine espoused by the Democratic Party and their supporting liberal media that his very presence in the Oval Office is regarded by them as not merely an interim occupational tenure by the opposing party, but as proof of a moment of temporary national insanity from which we may never recover. A closer look at the worst examples of Trump’s criminality will be instructive for what the country should be on guard for, should we want to avoid such behaviour in the future.

Accusation: Denying a Female Access to the Highest Office

Verdict: Guilty

President Trump didn’t get the memo that 2016 was the Year of the First Female President. In a time period where same-sex/transgender rights, glass ceilings, Title IX and the well-publicized/amply documented Republican “War on Women” dominate the gender cultural landscape, Donald Trump had the temerity, the unmitigated gall, to disregard all those signs and campaign as if gender didn’t matter. He campaigned on what he’d do for the country and why America — and American workers — would benefit from a Trump presidency.

During the campaign, he took full advantage of what he saw as Clinton’s lack of qualifications. He chided her about her lack of private sector business experience and was quick to hold her accountable for the Obama administration’s foreign policy shortcomings during her tenure as Secretary of State. But when he came up with the label “Crooked Hillary” as the Clinton Foundation’s highly-questionable financial dealings came to light, that really stung the sensibilities of her supporters.

Candidate Trump ignored the directive that in 2016, America will elect its first woman president. Guilty as charged.

Accusation: Recognizing the Average American’s Desire for Strong Borders and Strict Immigration Policy

Verdict: Guilty

Trump tapped into a strong national craving for a return to immigration fairness and verifiable national sovereignty. Americans are the world’s most generous and compassionate people. The degree to which we help others — whether it’s an international disaster or local charity — is well-documented. Our innate sense of altruism and human kindness is unprecedented. We fight wars to help others gain freedom without taking territory or materials in return. But Trump also recognized that Americans were tired of being taken unfair advantage of, especially with regard to illegal immigration. The financial and social stress placed on average law-abiding citizens to provide monetary benefits, educational opportunities and social privileges to people who broke our laws and came into the country illegally was simply wrong. Americans are eager to help the legitimately needy or those caught in dire circumstances not of their making. But Americans resent being played for fools.

The Big, Beautiful Trump Wall — whether one looks at it metaphorically or literally — was a recognition on his part of the concerns of the average citizen for their government to put the American citizens’ needs and concerns above those who break our laws and violate our sovereignty.

Accusation: Using the Military to Further America’s National Interests

Verdict: Guilty

Unlike the weak-willed Obama administration that drew lines in the sand which were then washed away by the shifting winds of liberal political expediency, Trump strongly punished the Assad regime in Syria with a blunt, untelegraphed cruise missile attack in retaliation for Assad’s repeated crimes against his own people, while simultaneously putting the world on notice that under a Trump administration, America will act forcefully and swiftly — without warning — to protect its vital interests. In a further show of our new-found military/national will, we have flown numerous B-1 Lancer supersonic bomber sorties over South Korea, and have an unprecedented three naval aircraft carrier groups off the Korean coast, demonstrating American military strength and national resolve in service to a critically-important foreign policy objective in a manner unheard of during the Obama years. Indeed, in the eyes of many, it was eight years of weak, inattentive behaviour by President Obama that is a root cause of the ever-worsening North Korean nuclear situation.

Additional Crimes

There are certainly other strong examples of President Trump’s transgressions:

  • Being in favor of American fossil fuel development and reinstating the Keystone Pipeline
  • His desire to lower taxes on both individuals and businesses (doesn’t he understand that the successful are supposed to be “punished” with high taxes and their ill-gotten wealth should be redistributed to the favored Democratic victim group-du-jour?)
  • The elimination of many anti-business nanny-state regulations that were intended by Obama to buy the voting affections of various Green and “Social Justice” lobbying groups
  • And of course, Trump’s shamefully disrespectful, “unpresidential” treatment of the liberal mainstream media, as I’d previous outlined.

These multiple examples of guilty behaviour are prime reasons that President Trump is spurned with such disdain in the rarefied, haute social orbits of the progressive intelligentsia. As horrifying and unfathomable as it is to the hard-core progressive faction, it was exactly such actions and proclamations by candidate Trump that won over the votes of previous Obama supporters in Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, North Carolina, and Florida and gave Trump his commanding, decisive 306-232 electoral-vote triumph. If the radical-left wing of the Democratic Party — whose thoughts and policies unquestionably represent the mainstream positions of their party these days, make no mistake — think that the likes of Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris, Corey Booker, Bernie Sanders, or former First Lady Michelle Obama are going to woo those decisive voters back into the touchy-feely, anti-business, globalist clutches of the Democratic Party in 2020, they may be in for a very rude awakening indeed.

Sometimes, crime pays.

Declaring War on Trump's Truthful Tweets

As many Americans will know, the British Prime Minister, Theresa May, said that Donald Trump was “wrong” to retweet the videos which had previously been tweeted by the political group, Britain First. Indeed, Britain’s ambassador to Washington, Sir Kim Darroch, said he has raised the Government’s concerns with the White House.

PM May said that Britain First is a “hateful organisation.” Nonetheless, she didn’t have anything to say about the content of the videos themselves. After all:

Britain First didn’t stage the videos:

It didn’t get that Muslim to smash a statue of the Virgin Mary.

It didn’t force that Muslim man to attack a boy on crutches.

And it didn’t force those Muslims to throw a boy off a rooftop.

And much has also been made of Britain First tweeting a video from 2013 (not, I presume, from 2017). So here’s a video of Islamic terror (in London) from 2017! (Is the implication here that there hasn’t been any Islamic terror since 2013? Really!?)

Britain First simply tweeted these videos for reasons which are obvious: it wants people to know what’s going on in the Muslim world and in Europe too.

The British tabloid Metro, however, said:

“Trump re-tweeted her fake news and racist tweets.”

Now every syllable of that mindless (though ideologically-correct) comment is false. (That doesn’t matter: it’s political and moral grandstanding that matters to Metro and to many others.)

Firstly, how, exactly, is it racist?

Secondly, why were the tweets fake?

The Dutch attacker was a Muslim whose parents are Muslim immigrants. The only statement which was false was that he’s an “immigrant”. Now is that really such a monumental mistake, Metro? In addition:

Is the statue-smashing video fake? No.

Is the video of Muslims throwing a boy off a rooftop fake? No.

Is the video of a Muslim attacking a boy on crutches fake? No.

No surprisingly, Trump wasn’t happy that Prime Minister May has so profoundly missed the point. He tweeted:

“Theresa May, don’t focus on me, focus on the destructive Radical Islamic Terrorism that is taking place within the United Kingdom. We are doing just fine!”

Now, that’s spot on! Theresa May has clearly ignored the content of the videos. That is, she’s ignored the “destructive Radical Islamic Terrorism” and focussed entirely on Britain First.

Now, if the British Government were honest about the massive violence in the Muslim world (as well as the violence from Muslims in Europe and the UK), then Trump wouldn’t have needed to rely on Britain First for these videos. Besides which, there’s a very good chance that Trump didn’t even know what Britain First is. Many in the UK don’t really know much about Britain First. I also suspect that Theresa May doesn’t either. (My guess is that she’ll have been fed information on Britain First and these videos mainly by groups like Hope Not Hate — see its piece on this — and various Muslim organisations.)

Thankfully, Theresa May hasn’t succumbed to the cynical opportunism of left-wing groups in that she hasn’t decided to cancel Trump’s state visit to the UK. And since authoritarian left-wingers wanted Trump banned from the UK before this video bonanza, then it’s not a surprise that they now want him banned after it too. These people want to ban Trump for the same reason they managed to get Pamela Geller, Robert Spencer, and Geert Wilders banned from British shores. (See American Thinker‘s ‘Geller and Spencer Banned from the UK’.)

The White House press secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, also knows that this isn’t really about Britain First. It’s about the content of the videos. In full, she said:

“I think what he’s done is elevate the conversation to talk about a real issue and a real threat and that’s extreme violence and extreme terrorism, something that we know to be very real and something the president feels strongly about talking about and bringing up and making sure is an issue every single day.”

However, it’s not all about Islamic terrorism either. It’s also about Islamic sharia law, ghettos, gang violence, grooming-gangs, etc. in Europe and the UK.

Prime Minister May also seems to believe that we have a big problem with “far-right terrorism” as well. She said:

“We must all take seriously the threat that far-right groups pose both in terms of the terrorist threat that is posed by those groups and the necessity of dealing with extremist material which is far-right as well.

“… In the United Kingdom we take the far-right very seriously and that’s why we ensure we deal with these threats and this extremism wherever it comes and whatever its source.”

That’s very odd! There has been no “far-right terror attack” in the UK. The MP Jo Cox (more of which later) was killed by a man who shouted “Britain first” — not “Britain First.” (In full he said: “This is for Britain;” “keep Britain independent;” and “Britain first.”) This phrase “Britain first” dates back to the 1960s and that’s why the group Britain First chose it. There’s also one single photo of the killer holding a British First banner; though he wasn’t a member and there’s no other evidence connecting him to the group.

In terms of Europe, we had Anders Breivik’s massacre in 2011.

However, according to Europol, Islamist terror attacks in the European Union increased from four in 2014 to seventeen in 2015. And the number of people killed increased from four to one hundred and fifty. In 2016, 135 people were killed in ten Islamic attacks in the European Union.

France alone suffered eight attacks between 2014 and 2016. These attacks included the January 2015 Île-de-France attacks, the November 2015 Paris attacks, and the July 2016 Nice truck attack.

As for the United Kingdom, it saw three major attacks in four months in early 2017: the Westminster attack, the May 2017 Manchester Arena bombing, and the June 2017 London Bridge attack.

There have been other Islamic attacks in Europe; including ones in Belgium, Germany, and Spain.

So what about right-wing terror in the UK in recent years? There’s been one murder (as already mentioned). In addition, a few young men who made bombs in their bedrooms have been imprisoned.

That murder of the MP Joe Cox occurred in 2016. She was murdered by Thomas Mair. He was motivated by his political views and was said to had “links” to several organisations in the UK, the U.S., and South Africa.

Consequently, it’s somewhat bizarre that Prime Minister May has done two things:

i) Criticise Trump for tweeting the truth about Islam in Europe and the Muslim world.

ii) Made a big deal about almost nonexistent “far-right terrorism.

Making the Clintons Pay

Few would deny that the ascendance of the United States from colonial poverty to the world’s top economic and military superpower in just 200 years is largely attributable to principles and rule of law in our founding documents enshrined in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. And so it should come as no surprise that America’s decline in the last 25 years has coincided with the erosion of the U.S. Constitution and the corruption of the nation’s law enforcement and judicial system.

What has most greased the skids of America’s decline toward the ways of a banana republic is the emergence and acceptance of two-tiered justice and attendant cronyism and political corruption. And nowhere is this more obvious than in the pass given to the Clintons, and particularly former First Lady and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

When the Clintons left the White House in 2001, taking with them over $190,000 worth of heirloom china, flatware, rugs, and furniture as they cleared out — much of which they later had to return — they claimed they were flat broke. Today their net worth exceeds $150 million, accumulated not by traditional means of work and investment, but rather by pay-for-play influence peddling through speeches and Clinton Foundation fundraising — with the tacit understanding that the Clintons would be in a position to return favors to donors after Hillary won the 2016 presidential election.

A key function of our law enforcement and justice system is of course the punishment of lawbreakers. But perhaps more important is the judicial system’s function in preventing repeat or escalated lawbreaking and deterring other would-be copycat lawbreakers.

It is a felony, punishable by fine and imprisonment up to 20 years, according to 18 U.S. Code 1519, to destroy, conceal, cover up or falsify any record or document whether on paper or on any digital device with the intent to impede or obstruct the investigation of any matter within the jurisdiction of any department or agency of the United States.

The pattern of deceit through withholding and destroying documents and records in order to obfuscate and facilitate self-dealing and political crime started early in Hillary’s career. While her husband would face impeachment, stiff monetary fines and a near million-dollar settlement as well as disbarment for five years, Hillary Clinton skated with no accountability for anything in her checkered career.

There were the missing records documenting the statistically impossible profits from cattle futures trading, the disappearance of Hillary Clinton’s billing records from the Rose Law Firm — under subpoena by Federal and Congressional investigators (which were found some two years later in the First Family quarters of the White House) — where she previously worked on matters related to the Whitewater real estate sham, the removal and destruction of a hard drive from the computer of her former Rose Law Firm partner and then White House Deputy Legal Counsel Vince Foster, whose death by gunshot wounds was ruled a suicide in the midst of the Whitewater investigation. And then there were the missing documents from the White House Travelgate firings — documents that would also surface after the scandal passed — showing Hillary’s duplicity and contradiction of her prior statements.

As egregious, scandalous or unlawful as these were, it was small time and a warm-up for what was to come after Hillary became Secretary of State and insisted on using a private computer server and email address — about which she was warned would be vulnerable to hacking and security breaches. Her purpose in so doing was ostensibly to evade Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests and Federal Government record-keeping laws and obfuscate conflicts of interest such as indirectly helping the Clinton Foundation raise enormous sums from governments and parties with whom she was also interfacing as Secretary of State.

But it all began to unravel after Hillary left office and was required to testify before a House committee on Benghazi in October 2015 and answer questions about the terrorist attacks on the U.S. Consulate on September 11, 2012. It was those hearings that brought to light the existence of Hillary Clinton’s secret, unsecured, do-it-yourself server. And then it was learned that she not only stored classified and top secret information in an unsecured location, but that she had also authorized the destruction of subpoenaed evidence — some 33,000 emails — after she was put on notice of the existence of the subpoena. These violations are felonies with stiff penalties and there were at least six other laws that appear violated for which Hillary could be indicted.

What is now waking up Americans about the seriousness of Clinton family self-dealing and the need for prosecution is the realization that the Clintons were at the center of what appears to be the biggest political corruption scandal in U.S. history. The fact that the Clinton Foundation’s single largest aggregate donation of some $145 million came from various parties linked to the Uranium One sale to the Russian government nuclear agency Rosatum makes this the mega-case of Russian influence and corruption.

Before the Declaration and the U.S. Constitution were even written, Samuel Adams observed that, “neither the wisest constitution nor the wisest laws will secure the liberty and happiness of a people whose manners are universally corrupt.” Political corruption in America has now become a cancer destroying people’s trust in government and their respect for the rule of law.

The inclination to give a pass to high profile politicians once out of office would be a grave mistake. Boldness is needed and there is simply no more important or cathartic action to take to restore equality before the law and bring an end to cronyism and double standards than the prosecution of the masters of political corruption — the Clinton crime syndicate.

It's Worse Out There for Israel Than You Think

A few decades ago, I remember a TV preacher who pointed out that once anyone left the United States, anti-Israel sentiment was rife. We in the United States had little idea of what was out there. He was right. The full extent of this insulation is not appreciated by us Americans. We live under an envelope as it were, aggravated by our usual monolingualism.

I speak a little Spanish – with emphasis on the word little – but it is enough for me to step outside the envelope and to become aware of phenomena that most Americans are unaware of, but which hold sway over hundreds of millions across the planet.

One phenomenon is Club Deportivo Palestino (Palestinian Sports Club), abbreviated CD Palestino, in the Santiago area of Chile.

The soccer team was founded in 1920 among members of the Palestinian community in Chile at that time. By the 1950s, it had turned professional; and is now headquartered in a municipal stadium in a suburb of Santiago, Chile’s capital. It has won some national championships, and played in international tournaments, but overall its record has been mediocre at best, Chile’s version of the San Diego Padres.

Yet, it is this team which wins international headlines.  Why?

Because the team has totally identified itself with the Palestinian cause.

The Palestinians in Chile are rather prosperous, and over-represented in the halls of power. They trace their roots in Chile to the end of the 19th century. Central Chile has a Mediterranean climate much like the land they left. So, the Christians of Bethlehem, Beit Jala, Beit Sahour, and Beit Safafa (now in the eastern side of Jerusalem) started moving to Chile. These Christians were fleeing the predations of the Muslim Turks. The did not want their sons drafted into a Muslim army.

Though initially subjected to prejudice in Chile, within two generations, they had become rich and powerful enough to dissuade the Chilean government from voting for a partition of Palestine to create a Jewish state in 1947. Since then, their power has only increased.  And the soccer team they formed in 1920, CD Palestino, has become a lightning rod to focus anti-Zionism throughout South America.

Three years ago, a controversy erupted when their team rolled out a jersey where the number 1 was replaced by a map of Palestine, which erased all of Israel. Only when Chile’s Jews complained, was the team forced to stop wearing the jersey; but you can still buy the offending shirt on their official website (Click Here).

Members of the team visit the contested areas, and the whole team has recently made a team visit to the Mideast to the Palestinian area.

Needless to say, the team has a strong following not only among Palestinians, but across the Arab world in general.

Recently, the team has engaged in a project – to which anyone can donate – where they will collect soil from the regions of Palestine, and use it for their soccer field.  As a symbol of their support for Palestine.
CD Palestino originally made these videos in English, Spanish, and Arabic to collect donations. The Arabic video was later taken down. Yes, you heard that right: English. CD Palestino has become somewhat of an international spectacle, as well as a sports team. So they now publish in English for maximum effect.

But more surprising is that these Palestinian-Chileans are 99% Christian (a mix of Roman Catholic, and  Antiochian Orthodox Christian).  Yet, this CD Palestino English language page displays a picture of the Muslim Dome of the Rock.

Now, given their Christian identity, one wonders why they have embraced Islamic symbols, especially since the ancestors of most Palestinian-Chileans fled Muslim tyranny. But the effect is not limited to sports, and I have noticed Palestinian-Chileans using Islamic imagery elsewhere.

At games, their fans shoot off flares in the green, black, white, and red colors of the Palestinian flag. Some fans have even embraced the Intifada.

The elites of Chile bow down to the Arab cause. Check out this journey of Chilean politicians in their visit to the contested areas. [Note: Camila Vallejo was leader of the Chilean Student protests of 2011.]  At (0:20), they present Palestinian spokesowman, Hanan Ashrawi, one of the infamous Palestino t-shirts. [Forgive my weak Spanish. I could only translate the titles at the beginning and end.]

There is nothing like this in America.  Little kids in Chile root for Palestino, as can be seen here where youngsters field offical CD Palestino shirts and say: Tino Tino Palestino!

This has infected the whole country. The only equivalent might be the influence of pro-Israel groups in the USA.

The Palestinian community is to Chile what the Jewish community is to the U.S. – Gabriel Zalisnek, then president of Chile’s Jewish Federation  – JPOST

But the difference is that pro-Israel lobbies also draw support from an American base: evangelical Christians and Jews. Chile’s Palestinians have foisted this on a Latin people with no reason to support an Arab cause, and every reason to reject it. It is unnatural, but pervasive.

The Jewish community of Chile filed a legal complaint on Friday over alleged virulent antisemitism at a soccer match on June 8, between the Estadio Israelita Maccabi team and Club Palestino as part of the amateur “Superliga.” …

The referees reported that they were also attacked and that a Palestinian fan came onto the pitch brandishing a Palestinian flag which he shoved in an injured Jewish player’s face yelling “this is a flag, not like yours, I clean my ass with yours, we’re gonna kill you, f***ing Jew.”  …

Several days after the match, graffiti was found on the walls of Club Palestino with the words “Arab terrorists,” “Palestine doesn’t exist” and “Am Yisrael Chai” next to a Star of David. – JPOST [Please read this link to see how bad it has gotten in Chile.]

To be fair, there is an Israeli team – Betar – which has been known for its violent Jewish supremacism, but CD Palestino has become a worldwide phenomenon beyond Chile.

Chile, which is the shining star of South America, has been lost to the Palestinian cause. Americans have no clue about what is happening in South America. With the exception of Brazil, which has a very strong evangelical movement, the rest of South America may be on the same track.

America’s disdain for mixing sports and politics, along with its disdain for soccer, has insulted us from some other astounding news.

In Scotland, fans of the Celtic soccer team hounded fans of a visiting Israeli team and created a scandal when they raised Palestinian flags during a match between the Celtics and Israel’s Hapoel Be’er Sheva. When the team was fined by UEFA (the Union of European Football Association), the fans defiantly matched the fine by crowd funding and, with the surplus, raised money for Palestinian causes.

Some might say the Celtic fans are from an ethnic Irish Catholic background in Scotland, and not a true barometer of general Scottish feeling, but how do you explain a Palestinian flag flying over Glasgow City hall then, or this show of Palestinian solidarity from the Scottish National Party, or the display of Palestinian support in Edinburgh when another Israeli team visited? This insanity isn’t just Hibernian, the Caledonians are in on it as well.

What should astound everyone is that the Palestinians released a thank you video for Celtic Fans’ defiance. The blonde at 33 seconds, with the Scottish burr, is cute. Am I allowed to say that any more? I doubt she is an Arab, though it looks like the child she is carrying might be half-Arab. William Wallace must be rolling over in his grave.

Of course, in 2009, Spain had a minor scandal when an Israeli basketball team was greeted with Palestinian flags.  This protest during one of the Gaza wars is from the Netherlands.  Many of the protestors may be Muslims, but a lot of this crowd is native European.  From France, again, much of this crowd is native-French.  This is from England, where they call for the eradication of Israel. (From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free.) There are a lot of Saxons mixed in the with Muslims.

It seems the envelope ends at the 49th parallel. America has pro-Palestinian protests, too; but as a rule, they are miniscule compared to Europe; and not indicative of general American opinion.

I do not mind criticism of Israel. I have made strong criticism myself; but what distinguishes the European and Chileans varieties is that they often call for the eradication of Israel; and that is where I draw the line.

Whatever one feels about Israel’s policies, Israel does have a right to exist. The preacher was right. Outside of America, the worldview is very hostile to Israel.
