Two undercover Miami-Dade County police officers were in stable condition late Monday after being shot in the Liberty City section of Miami.

The shooting was reported at around 10 p.m. local time.

Footage from Fox affiliate WSVN showed the officers walking into the emergency room at Jackson Memorial Hospital supported by fellow officers. They had been taken to the hospital in a pickup truck.

There was no immediate word of any arrests or a description of any suspects. It was not immediately clear what led to the shooting or if the officers were targeted.

The Liberty City neighborhood is located northwest of downtown Miami. The neighborhood was the scene of deadly rioting in 1980 after four Miami-Dade police officers were acquitted in the shooting death of a black man.
