Several organizations sent out emails slamming President Trump minutes after his first speech to a joint session of Congress on Tuesday.

“Tonight, Donald Trump delivered a speech that is shockingly, but unsurprisingly, divorced from the reality of what he has done and what he plans to do,” Sierra Club executive director Michael Brune said.

The American Civil Liberties Union echoed that sentiment.

“Tonight, we heard more empty pablum from President Trump, completely divorced from the reality of harm he has inflicted on America’s most vulnerable communities,” ACLU national political director Faiz Shakir said.

Families USA, a major supporter of the Affordable Care Act, called on the president to listen to the Americans whose lives were “literally saved” by the law.

“If he listened to these stories, including those in the House chamber tonight, he would understand how badly the plan he announced fails,” executive director Ron Pollack said. “This is the time for President Trump to stand up for working families, not just the wealthy, by ensuring no one loses their health care lifeline.”
