President Trump on Monday blamed the flub at the Academy Awards on Sunday evening on Hollywood’s focus on him instead of movies.

“I think they were focused so hard on politics that they didn’t get the act together at the end,” Trump said. “It was a little sad. It took away from the glamour of the Oscars. It didn’t feel like a very glamorous evening. I’ve been to the Oscars. There was something very special missing, and then to end that way was sad.”

Actors lambasted the Republican president during the Oscars, as was expected. Trump told Breitbart the failure during the best picture award was the result of making the event a political event.

On Sunday night, the announcers wrongly said “La La Land” won best picture, but moments later, they announced “Moonlight” had won.
