Following a whirlwind press conference Thursday, the Trump campaign sent emails with titles such as, “You’re our last line of defense,” and “I can’t do it alone”.

The emails contained a survey aimed at the “mainstream media” and featured a series of questions about which outlets responders trust to “fairly” report on the presidency.

One question asked, “Do you agree with President Trump’s media strategy to cut through the media’s noise and deliver our message straight to the people?”

Thursday marked Trump’s first solo press conference since becoming president. During the hour-long press conference he called CNN “very fake news” and refused to answer a Jewish reporter’s question about an uptick in anti-Semitism.

The disclaimer on the survey says it was paid for by the Trump Make America Great Again Committee, a joint fundraising committee authorized by and composed of Donald J. Trump for President, Inc. and the Republican National Committee.

The survey is similar to previous ones sent during the presidential campaign.
