Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton collapsed Monday while giving the state of the state address.

About 45 minutes into his speech, the 69-year-old Democratic governor appeared to faint.

Dayton stumbled walking onto the dais to begin his speech.

He also had several long pauses throughout the speech, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

Dayton regained consciousness after a few minutes.

“He rose on his own, waved and went into a back room,” reporter Rachel Stassen-Berger tweeted.

Dayton’s son later tweeted that his dad was “doing great” and thanked followers for the “kind well-wishes.”
