Anti-Trump protesters looking to spoil the evenings’ inaugural balls marched in the way of revelers looking to enjoy their night in Washington Friday.

#DisruptJ20 protesters, a group of Trump dissidents led by anarchists, attempted to block the route of some black-tie-clad attendees and sent them scurrying back into the Marriott hotel in Washington.

Police intervened to push protesters back and escort some of the attendees through the protesters’ blockade.

Friday evening’s disruption marks one of several actions that the protesters did throughout the day, including burning cars, shutting down an Inauguration Day security checkpoint, and smashing windows of D.C. businesses.

#DisruptJ20 organizer Lacy MacAuley told reporters approximately 120 people affiliated with its protests were arrested in Washington on Friday.

Many of the #DisruptJ20 protesters are expected to keep it up throughout the weekend.
