President-elect Trump reacted to Secretary of State John Kerry’s lengthy speech about Israel on Wednesday afternoon by saying it “speaks for itself.”

Trump, who is in Florida at his Mar-a-Lago resort, said nothing else about Kerry’s address and returned inside.

The incoming president was with World Jewish Congress president Ronald Lauder when reporters asked him for his reaction.

Kerry was critical of Israel’s government in his remarks, speaking out against its settlement expansion while emphasizing his support for a two-state solution.

Before Kerry’s speech, Trump tweeted: “We cannot continue to let Israel be treated with such total disdain and disrespect. They used to have a great friend in the U.S., but not anymore. The beginning of the end was the horrible Iran deal, and now this (U.N.)! Stay strong Israel, January 20th is fast approaching!”

A slew of Capitol Hill Republicans condemned the speech.

Conservative Texas Sen. Ted Cruz accused President Obama and Kerry of being “bitter clingers” who “are spending every last minute of this administration wreaking havoc domestically and abroad.”
