President-elect Trump has been certified the winner in Wisconsin after a statewide recount showed his margin of victory increase over former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the Wisconsin Elections Commission announced Monday.

Trump’s lead over Clinton increased by 131 votes, cementing him as the winner of the state’s 10 electoral votes a week before the Electoral College is set to convene. The state certified the results a day before the federal deadline after the 10-day recount. Trump weighed in soon after the results were announced, saying that the Democrats and the Green Party “can now rest.”

After counting the state’s nearly 3 million ballots, the results changed by fewer than 1,800 votes, making Trump the winner by more than 22,000 votes.

“Completing this recount was a challenge, but the real winners are the voters,” Wisconsin Elections Commissions chairman Mark Thomsen said in a statement. “Based on the recount, they can have confidence that Wisconsin’s election results accurately reflect the will of the people, regardless of whether they are counted by hand or by machine. The commission thanks all those involved in the recount for their hard work and dedication.”

The state’s results were being challenged by Green Party presidential nominee Jill Stein, who was also challenging vote counts in Michigan and Pennsylvania. Both challenges were shot down by federal judges.

“This recount was never about changing the outcome; it was about validating the vote and restoring confidence in our voting system to Americans across the country who have doubts,” Stein said in a statement. “The recount in Wisconsin raised a number of important election integrity issues that bear further assessment and serious action to ensure we have integrity and confidence in our electoral system.”
