President-elect Trump attributed Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton’s 2 million-vote lead in the popular vote to illegal immigrants.

Trump’s comments on Sunday on Twitter come as Green Party Nominee Jill Stein requested a recount in Wisconsin, alleging reports of voting irregularities.

“In addition to winning the Electoral College in a landslide, I won the popular vote if you deduct the millions of people who voted illegally,” Trump tweeted on Sunday.

It remains unclear how many people who were not eligible to vote actually voted in the 2016 elections.

He added it would have been “much easier for me to win the so-called popular vote than the Electoral College in that I would only campaign in 3 or 4 states instaed of the 15 states that I visited.”

Trump was a prior critic of the Electoral College back in 2012, tweeting that year it was a “disaster for democracy.”

In a tweetstorm earlier Sunday, Trump said that he was fairly elected to the presidency and that Clinton had already conceded to him.
