A Missouri House lawmaker is joining a growing chorus of Trump supporters voicing disapproval with a possible administration post for Mitt Romney.

Rep. Billy Long, R-Miss., said that Trump senior adviser Kellyanne Conway was right when she said earlier Sunday that the president-elect’s supporters would feel betrayed if Romney were chosen. Romney is reportedly in the running for secretary of state.

“It would be a betrayal” to the grassroots support that were “all but spat upon” for supporting Trump, Long tweeted.

Conway isn’t the only Trump supporter with qualms over Romney.

Trump ally Newt Gingrich said on Fox & Friends that Trump’s supporters would be “enormously disappointed” if Romney got an administration post.

Romney heavily criticized Trump during the campaign, saying during one speech that Trump was a “phony” and a “fraud.”
