Kansas Rep. Mike Pompeo has accepted the post as President-elect Trump’s director of the Central Intelligence Agency, according to several reports.

Reuters reporter Steve Holland reported Friday morning a source on Trump’s transition team offered the CIA director to the Kansas Republican and he had accepted. That news was confirmed by other reports citing sources on the Trump team.

Pompeo, a former Army captain, was first elected in 2010 and serves on the House Select Intelligence Committee and the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, as well as the House Select Committee on Benghazi.
