President-elect Trump has decided he wants Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions to be his attorney general in his new administration, according to multiple reports.

Sessions met with Trump at Trump Tower in New York on Thursday and Trump released a glowing statement about the meeting afterward. CBS News and other outlets reported Friday Trump had offered Sessions the position as the nation’s top law enforcement officer.

Trump was reportedly considering others for the post, including his former primary rival, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas.
