Hillary Clinton should look inward to determine why she lost the election rather than blaming FBI Director James Comey and others for her loss, a top Trump aide said Sunday.

“I just can’t believe it’s always somebody else’s fault,” Kellyanne Conway, who managed President-elect Trump’s campaign for the final months of the general election, told NBC News’ Chuck Todd.

“Sometimes you just have to take a look in the mirror and reflect on what went wrong,” she added.

Conway blasted Clinton’s team for suggesting that Comey’s letter about reopening the FBI investigation into the former secretary of state’s email practices cost her the election. revealed that the agency was revisiting the case 11 days before the Nov. 8 election, only to exonerate Clinton a second time 48 hours before Election Day.

“They were quoted that very weekend … saying, ‘Oh, people have already decided. People have already incorporated the email scandal into their voting decisions,'” Conway said of Clinton’s aides. “Now they’re going back and saying he had an impact and the cultural zeitgeist, and the issue that motivates many Americans? What about the fact that people felt like they had nothing in common?”

In an email to senior campaign staffers on Friday, Clinton’s opinion research director, Navin Nayak, said he believed the defeated Democratic presidential hopeful “lost [the] election in the last week.”

“Comey’s letter in the last 11 days of the election both helped depress our turnout and also drove away some of our critical support among college-educated white voters — particularly in the suburbs,” Nayak wrote.
