Former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton was spotted on Thursday walking in the woods in her hometown of Chappaqua, N.Y.

Margot Gerster, who lives in White Plains, wrote on Facebook that she had been feeling “so heartbroken since yesterday’s election and decided what better way to relax than take my girls hiking.” The family had just started down a path when they stumbled upon some familiar faces.

“As we were leaving, I heard a bit of rustling coming towards me and as I stepped into the clearing there she was, Hillary Clinton and Bill with their dogs doing exactly the same thing as I was … I got to hug her and talk to her and tell her that one of my most proudest moments as a mother was taking Phoebe with me to vote for her,” Gerster wrote. “She hugged me and thanked me and we exchanged some sweet pleasantries and then I let them continue their walk. Now, I’m not one for signs but I think ill definitely take this one. So proud.”

Gerster said Bill took their picture.

Clinton had not been seen in public since Wednesday morning when she delivered her concession speech to President-elect Donald Trump in Manhattan. She had sent out campaign chairman John Podesta Tuesday night to speak to attendees at her election night party after realizing she did not have a path to 270 electoral votes.
