President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect Mike Pence will meet with Speaker of the House Paul Ryan Thursday afternoon in Washington to discuss how they can hit the ground running next year, when Republicans will control both the White House and both chambers of Congress.

A Republican source said the meeting will take place at 12:30 p.m. at the Capitol Hill Club, after Trump’s 11 a.m. meeting with outgoing Democratic President Barack Obama.

Republicans kept control of both houses of Congress, leading Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wisconsin, to declare a “mandate” for Trump that will also allow him to fill the vacant seat in the Supreme Court. The conservative speaker’s previously reluctant support for Trump’s candidacy has given way to trying to work with the unconventional candidate.
